The gameplay favors sharp observation, logical thinking, and a curious mind, letting participants experience the museum in a fresh way. Beyond the familiar tale of passionate love and far-flung travel, it examines the hardships she faced, including abandonment, betrayal, the deaths of her husband and children, and years of pressure from creditors and unreliable friends. The story carries into the late 1840s, when her finances had finally stabilized, her latest book was warmly received, and her only surviving son was approaching marriage.
