At a Glance presents a collection of images by Peter Swanson, captured while biking and hiking through Rockford’s urban landscape. Swanson began as a cartoonist, then worked as an oil painter and a chef. In 2020 he began exploring photography, drawing on this varied background in his current work.
Spring Art Scene: Elploration & Fine + Dine
This event presents two complementary showcases. In Exploration, Drew Eurek builds from an abstract base, letting hints of the figure emerge to connect with the familiar while encouraging personal interpretation and reflection. In Fine & Dine, Greg Lang shares new works alongside select earlier pieces on paper, using typography to honor pop art and to consider abstract expressionism, precise color relationships, and the play of negative space.
