Rockford’s Juneteenth Celebration welcomes people of all races to commemorate the day enslaved people in the South were freed. This year marks the 35th annual celebration in Rockford.

Midwest Nats brings riders from far and wide to Rockford BMX in Rockford, Illinois for a weekend centered on the sport. Hellfire BMX will be on site throughout with apparel and accessories, connecting with racers, parents, and fans. During the weekend there will be a random name drawing, and one person will receive $50 to use in the shop as appreciation for the BMX community. The weekend showcases everything Midwest Nats has to offer.

A favorite Rockford summer tradition comes to life at City Market with the Juneteenth at the Market theme. The main stage hosts Soul Review, and the acoustic stage features Dj Proper from Echo Beat Collective. Explore more than 40 local vendors offering baked goods, vintage clothing, handmade items, flowers, and other finds in downtown Rockford. Food trucks, local breweries, and live music keep the atmosphere lively throughout the evening. Families can look forward to the Rockford Park District on-site each week, along with a rotating kids activity that changes every Friday.
Rockford City MarketThe Live At Levings $2000 Talent Show
Presented in collaboration with Tommy Meeks' Annual Juneteenth Celebration, Live at Levings brings a community talent showcase to the Sinnissippi Band Shell. The competition welcomes all genres and offers cash awards of $1,000 for first place, $500 for second, $300 for third, and $200 for fourth. Top finishers will advance to the Talent Show Finals at Levings Park. Music will be provided by a DJ to be announced, and a host will be announced.
