Bluegrass in the Park Folklife Festival marks its 40th year with two days of live bluegrass and acoustic performances, family friendly activities, local artisans, food vendors, and the traditions that have long shaped this summertime gathering. Admission is free. The first day features music, artisan booths, food options, and activities suitable for families. The second day keeps the music going and adds breakfast in the park, folklife demonstrations and activities, additional artisan and food vendors, and interactive fun for all ages. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs and enjoy time with family and friends. The official entertainment lineup and full schedule will be announced soon.

Patchwork Central takes part in Haynie's Corner First Friday with live music from The Refugees. A variety of food trucks will be set up right out front, making it easy to grab dinner and enjoy it at Patchwork. Festivities span the neighborhood, with activities stretching from Patchwork to the Haynie's Corner Fountain.

Community Summer Night offers music, games, and food, with a bounce house adding to the fun. It is a chance to enjoy community fellowship through shared activities and time together.

Catch award-winning bluesman Selwyn Birchwood live at Mojo’s BoneYard for an Electric Swamp Funkin’ Blues show. Expect an energetic set featuring his signature guitar and lap steel, along with soulful, groove-forward vocals. Doors open at 4:30 PM, and the event is for ages 21 and up.

Volksfest 64' celebrates German flavor, music, and tradition with a ceremonial keg tapping to open the festivities. Doors and serving lines open each day with Germania's Famous Kraut Balls, Bratwurst, Pig Knuckles, Sauerkraut, Sausage Burgers, German Bologna, and other favorites. A large selection of German beers is available alongside domestic options, and there are new wine slushies. Nightly live music features indoor and outdoor performances from River City Polkatz, Polka Cola, Rhein Valley Brass, and the Rathskeller Band, with the local band Haywire also taking the stage. Additional highlights include a progressive half pot and The Wurst Race 5k.

Hosted by Matthew Helm, this fast-paced karaoke contest features quick performances in a fun, upbeat setting. The first 10 people to register secure a spot to compete. Drink and food specials add to the festive atmosphere for both participants and supporters.
