Aurora presents the fifth annual River City Wiffle Ball Classic, a family-friendly fundraising tournament. This edition will be held at the Deaconess Sports Complex because renovations at Historic Bosse Field overlap with the event. Teams made up of participants ages 16 and older will compete, with each team playing at least three games. About 240 players, along with families and friends, will gather to build awareness, foster partnerships, and raise funds for Aurora and the people it serves. In addition to the tournament, families can enjoy inflatables, a free kids field, and other fun activities.

Colubridfest 2026 transforms Old National Events Plaza into a dedicated gathering for people who love colubrid snakes, welcoming seasoned breeders and keepers as well as anyone curious about these remarkable animals. The weekend opens with a relaxed meet and greet alongside vendor setup to encourage conversation and community building. It then shifts into a full day centered on learning, with panels, expert presentations, and in‑depth discussions that explore care, breeding, genetics, and husbandry with an emphasis on responsible practices. The finale is a public, colubrids-only reptile expo showcasing respected breeders and vendors with colubrid snakes exclusively, plus plants and bioactive supplies, enclosures, décor, feeders, and other essentials. Guests can browse, ask questions, take photos, and enjoy seeing standout colubrids in one place, whether or not they plan to bring home an animal. General admission for the public show day is available in advance and at the door. Advance adult tickets are 12 dollars, with kids ages 7 to 12 at 5 dollars and children 6 and under free. At the door, adults are 15 dollars, kids ages 7 to 12 remain 5 dollars, and children 6 and under are free. A VIP pass covering the entire weekend is offered at 65 dollars for adults and 25 dollars for kids 12 and under, and an early VIP entry period precedes general admission. All ages are welcome.
