A Back to School Block Party offers free family fun with complimentary food, games, giveaways, and a lively foam party, along with opportunities to learn about community resources. Participating organizations include AACS Kynect Program, Audubon Area Community Services, Cumberland Hall Hospital, Daniel Pitino Shelter, Health First Community Health Center, Oxford House, RiverValley Behavioral Health, The Chloe Randolph Organization, and Women’s Addiction Recovery Manor. The celebration takes place at Cabell Platt Medical Center. Please note that a nearby street will be closed for the duration of the event.

Enjoy a summer outdoor Shakespeare performance from the Evansville Shakespeare Players at West Library Park. This year’s production is Twelfth Night. Feel free to bring along a camping chair, blanket, or other picnic items so you can get comfortable for the show.

Storytime at the Bazaar is paired with free yoga taught by Yoga 101 and free music by Alex Mcrae. All vendors will be open throughout the event.

The iconic Huey helicopter returns to the museum for a special weekend featuring paid flight experiences. Rides are $100 per person and are sold only on site on a first come, first served basis. Flights run continuously and ticket sales stop when the daily ride limit is reached, which means rides can sell out early and wait times may be long. Museum admission is required in addition to the ride fee. Admission is $14 for general entry and $9 for seniors, children ages 6 to 17, veterans, active duty service members, and first responders. Children ages 0 to 5 and WWII or Korean War veterans are admitted free.

Community Summer Night offers music, games, and food, with a bounce house adding to the fun. It is a chance to enjoy community fellowship through shared activities and time together.

A mother daughter luau takes place at Atkinson Park, with the Atkinson pool reserved for the evening. Attendees are asked to keep clothing and swim attire family friendly. Registration is available through Jotform.

Hosted by Wathen Farms, Farm Day returns with family-friendly activities. Highlights include a unique tractor showcase, vintage cars along with pickups and motorcycles, a learning space for children, rides on a barrel train, an inflatable bounce area, and mobile food vendors. It is also a chance to reconnect with people you have not seen in a while. Consider bringing lawn chairs if you plan to linger.

Paws on the Patio at Henderson Brewing Company features Henderson Humane with adoptable dogs on site. It offers a relaxed patio gathering with friends and a chance to meet pups while supporting a local cause. Tips and 10 percent of event sales are donated to Henderson Humane.

The program features family-friendly storytelling and dancing at the Evansville Riverfront Pagoda. Families can listen to tales together and share simple dance activities. The gathering is held outdoors and depends on the weather.

The 2026 season of Market on Main takes place in the Ford Center Plaza. Explore offerings from farmers, food businesses, bakers, makers, food trucks, and artisan products.

Fur-Ever Memories is a photography fundraiser in partnership with Phoenix Down Photography that directs a portion of proceeds to support the animals at It Takes A Village. When you book a wedding, elopement, or portrait session, including engagement, couples, family, senior, or graduation photos, part of your fee helps this cause. Pets are welcome in the photos, making it easy to capture meaningful moments while giving back to animals in need.

College Night at the ballpark brings together the Evansville Otters and Heritage Federal Credit Union to welcome USI employees, alumni, students and friends. Wear your USI gear to show Screagle pride and enjoy an evening of baseball with family and friends. It is also Bark at the Park, so dogs are welcome to come cheer for the home team. USI students receive free admission with a valid college ID and do not need a ticket. Alumni and USI employees can claim general admission tickets online using the code HeritageUSI at checkout. On the field, the Evansville Otters face the Gateway Grizzlies.
