Set in the parking lot of Greenwood United Methodist Church, this farmers market features a changing selection from its vendors throughout the season. Early on, look for starter plants, spring produce, a range of meats and eggs, honey, baked treats, kettle corn, soaps, crafts, and similar items. As the months progress, the offerings expand to include summer and fall harvests. The new season is underway.

Spend a Saturday at Bethany Community Gardens lending a hand in the garden and building community. Volunteer opportunities are available every Saturday throughout the growing season.

The 42nd Annual Circle City Classic brings a full slate of competition and music to Lucas Oil Stadium. The schedule features two girls flag football matchups, starting with the Crispus Attucks High School Tigers as the away team against the Arsenal Technical High School Titans, followed by the Lawrence North High School Wildcats visiting the Ben Davis High School Giants. A high school boys varsity football showcase pairs the Warren Central High School Warriors with the Pike High School Red Devils, with warm ups and pregame ceremonies before kickoff. The HBCU Band Showcase highlights Talladega College’s Great Tornado Marching Band, Kentucky State University’s Mighty Marching Thorobred Band, and Miles College’s Purple Marching Machine. The action continues with a second high school football showcase as the Lawrence North High School Wildcats take on the Ben Davis High School Giants once again.

This 8-ball competition follows BCA rules. Entry is $225 and includes fees, and a player auction carries a $50 minimum. Prepayment is required, with Fargo ratings locked once payment is received. Matches are a race to 5, and for every 75 points the higher-rated player must win one additional game, up to three extra games. It is winner break, and players rack their own.
