    Malpass Brothers and more

Blue Gate Performing Arts Center, 760 S Van Buren St, Shipshewana · verified Sep 27
    See details

Blue Gate PAC hosts a country music double bill featuring the Malpass Brothers with Wilson Fairchild. Tickets range from $19.95 to $59.95. Rooted in a love for the classic records they discovered in their grandfather’s collection, brothers Chris and Taylor Malpass built their sound around vintage country and close harmonies. They began performing with their father at an early age, learned from greats like steel guitarist Don Helms, and spent years on the road opening for Merle Haggard. Their releases include Memory That Bad produced by Haggard, a self-titled album produced by Doyle Lawson, and the concert recording Live at the Paramount. Their 2023 project Lonely Street, produced by Lawson with Ben Isaacs and engineered by the late Mark Capps under executive producer Dan Mann, delivers twelve new tracks in a classic style, with writing contributions from Dickey Lee, Shawn Camp, Conrad Fisher, and Taylor Dunn, plus tributes to Merle Haggard and Jeannie Seely. Since debuting at the Grand Ole Opry in 2018, they have returned many times, toured in Ireland, Switzerland, and Scotland, and appeared on television programs including The Huckabee Show, Country’s Family Reunion, and Larry’s Country Diner. Wilson Fairchild brings a blend of tradition and modern sensibility shaped by Shenandoah Valley roots. Cousins Wil and Langdon Reid, sons of Statler Brothers members Harold and Don Reid, lean into family harmony, storytelling, and musicianship. Wil contributes smooth vocals, guitar work, and easy humor that connects with listeners, while Langdon adds distinctive acoustic touches and tight harmonies. Together with the Malpass Brothers, this concert centers on timeless songs, close-knit harmonies, and country music heritage.

    See details

Blue Gate PAC presents a concert with Pure Prairie League and Pablo Cruise. Tickets range from $29.95 to $74.95. Pure Prairie League began as friends in Ohio in the mid 1960s and today features drummer Scott Thompson, bassist Jared Camic, keyboardist Randy Harper, guitarist and vocalist Jeff Zona, and pedal steel and saxophonist John Heinrich. Early albums like the self titled debut with the Sad Luke cover and the multi platinum Bustin’ Out featuring the song Amie made them an early influence on country rock, followed by Two Lane Highway and many more releases and shows. Over the years they have collaborated with notable musicians and continue to inspire newer artists in the genre. Their album Back On Track adds a dozen new songs to the catalog. Pablo Cruise emerged in 1975 with an A&M Records debut. The band toured the United States, Canada and Japan, reached the Top 10 with hits such as Whatcha Gonna Do When She Says Goodbye and Love Will Find A Way, appeared on national television shows, and set attendance milestones including a record at the Sahara Tahoe showroom. After a long hiatus that began in 1985 they reunited in 2005, releasing two live CDs and a DVD through Sony Music and returning to stages across the U.S. and Canada. The current lineup centers on core members David Jenkins, Cory Lerios and Steve Price with Larry Antonino and Robbie Wyckoff completing the group.

    Los Lonely Boys

Blue Gate Performing Arts Center, 760 S Van Buren St, Shipshewana · verified Sep 27
    See details

Los Lonely Boys bring their signature Texican rock and roll to Blue Gate Performing Arts Center. The trio of brothers Henry, Jojo, and Ringo Garza have always kept family at the heart of their music. After pausing in 2019 to focus on home life, they returned to touring in 2022 with renewed spark, even opening for The Who. Raised in San Angelo, Texas, they shaped a blues-infused sound that first turned heads when Willie Nelson’s nephew discovered their demo. Nelson became an advocate, inviting them to Farm Aid and recording with them. Their 2003 debut, later reissued by Epic, broke wide with the single Heaven, which reached number one, earned a Grammy, spent more than 76 weeks on the Billboard Top 200, and sold over two million copies. Collaborations with Carlos Santana and Willie Nelson, appearances on major stages, and support for global causes followed, along with a feature in the documentary Cottonfields and Crossroads. A serious onstage accident in 2013 left Henry injured and led to canceled shows, prompting a recommitment to what matters most for the band, family and music. They have since returned with vigor, continuing to write, record, and perform. In 2024 they released Resurrection on BMG, capturing their hallmark sound while weaving in elements of soul, roots, and classic rock and roll. With strong reception for the new album and spirited crowds at their concerts, Los Lonely Boys remain a dynamic force decades after their debut. Tickets range from $24.95 to $79.95.
