The Louisville Pure Tap 5K, presented by Louisville Water Company, starts and finishes at Louisville Water Tower, the site known for Louisville’s award-winning drinking water. This family-friendly run follows a scenic route that heads east and west along River Road. It is professionally chip timed, and every participant receives a short-sleeved Louisville Pure Tap 5K race shirt and a custom finisher medal. Dogs are welcome again this year with a $10 registration add-on that benefits Friends of Louisville Metro Animal Services, and registered dogs receive a bandana to recognize their participation. An after-pawty will be held at Club K9 Dog Park Bar. Dogs wearing event swag get their owners in at no charge. All canine attendees must be spayed or neutered and have proof of rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations.
