Dine and Donate ~ Panera Restaurant Night

Turn dinner into support for the TJE PTO with a Panera dine and donate event. To have your purchase included, present the flyer when ordering at the counter. For mobile, online, or kiosk orders, enter the code FUND4U before paying. During the event, 25% of net sales will benefit the TJE PTO, and online orders placed all day will be counted toward the fundraising total. Purchases of gift cards, catering, and third-party delivery are excluded.

Valparaiso Community Conference

Harre Union at Valparaiso University hosts a citywide gathering focused on connection, learning, and civic engagement. Organized by the City of Valparaiso, this second edition brings together residents and community partners for a day of insightful speakers, interactive workshops, and networking designed to help people get more involved in their neighborhoods and across the community. The program features a keynote workshop on reading the room and building meaningful connections with Mitch Isaacs of Shafer Leadership Academy. Additional sessions explore smarter city services with Steve Poulos of the City of Valparaiso, native plants for home landscapes with Steve Martinson and Paul Chen from Valpo Parks Horticulture, public safety partnerships with Fire Chief Chad Dutz and Police Chief Andrew McIntyre, and neighborhood-focused engagement with Maggie Clifton of the City of Valparaiso. Introduction to Infant Massage Class

This small-group introductory infant massage class helps caregivers and their babies learn full-body massage strokes, techniques to relieve colic and gas, and calming holds with gentle touch. Designed for babies from about three weeks old through the pre-crawling stage, it fosters a nurturing one-on-one routine you can continue to share as your child grows. Held at Valpo Therapy Kids. Offered monthly. Cost is $30.

CRAFT MEETING

If you are concerned about a loved ones drug or alcohol use, this free family support group is designed for family members and friends. Based on the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) model, this program helps families create positive change while improving their own well-being. You will learn how to reduce your loved ones harmful substance use, engage them in treatment, and improve your own quality of life and family functioning. Topics include understanding family dynamics, triggers, and motivators, developing positive and effective communication techniques, supporting a loved one in entering treatment and engaging in recovery, and learning practical tools and resources to empower families to influence change. This group is offered with support from Overdose Lifeline.
