Classic cars roll into Bulldog Park for the Crown Point Car Cruise, a seasonal gathering that closes West Street between Joliet and Walnut during event hours. Participants should use the West Street entrance near the north end of the complex to access the Franciscan Health Pavilion, and vehicles parked under the pavilion or along the east side of West Street must be moved when the event concludes, as gates are locked for the evening and the roadway reopens. Parking is first come, first served along West Street, in the West Street municipal lot across from Bulldog Park, in the Bulldog Park lot, and at the Wheeler Middle School parking lot. Classic cars are not permitted to park in the Chase Bank lot. This is a free event, and tickets are not required. Please be mindful of scams.

Participants check in at the Skate Ministry tent, receive cleanup supplies, and hear the plan for the effort. Small groups spread out to tidy the skatepark, nearby trails, and parking areas, then return to drop off trash and equipment. A brief action sports themed devotional follows at the tent to encourage everyone, and water with light snacks is available. The night wraps up with a shared session at the park for skaters, scooter riders, BMX riders, and roller skaters. The event is led by Testimony Skate Ministry, a local nonprofit committed to putting faith into action through service, building genuine relationships, and celebrating action sports culture. Partnering with the park district supports clean parks and strengthens community connections. There is no cost to take part.

A lively day of shopping awaits at the St. John Farmers Market, featuring a variety of farmers and vendors participating this season. The market takes place at Powers Health Community Hospital Outpatient Center. It is a rain or shine event, and pets are welcome.
