    Chicago · 3015 W Division St

Drawing from López’s archive and lived experience, the exhibition shares stories of survival and loss and honors those who stepped up for one another. It also reflects on the lingering aftermath... unreliable water, electricity, and weakened public systems... and asks a pressing question, when does a hurricane end. Explore the true tales behind The Devil in the White City on a guided bus tour through Victorian-era Chicago. The experience begins inside the bar at the Congress Plaza Hotel, a landmark tied to the 1893 World’s Fair and known for ghostly lore. Over roughly three hours, the route features the Prairie Avenue district with its Gilded Age mansions, the former grounds of the 1893 Columbian Exposition including the sole surviving fair building that now houses the Museum of Science and Industry, and the site where H. H. Holmes’s notorious “Murder Castle” once stood. Walking is minimal, yet comfortable shoes are encouraged. Dress warmly and consider a poncho or umbrella if rain is possible. Service animals are welcome, but the bus is not wheelchair friendly, so it is recommended to check walking routes if accessible transit is needed. The tour is designed for ages 13 and up. Tickets are $69 per person and include all taxes and fees. Seating is limited and all sales are final, with full refunds provided if the organizers must cancel due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. ChiKaGo - Celebration of Life & Spirit for John Sacelli

Chicago · Yoga Now Chicago, 742 N LaSalle Dr

A community gathering at Yoga Now Chicago celebrates the life and spirit of John Sacelli through ChiKaGo’s Life Force Strategies of the Soul. The program offers a mix of meditations, activations, a dance journey, and an open sharing circle for anyone moved to offer a tribute. It is presented by BrilliantlyMad Collective, with an open mic hosted by Organic Monk. John Sacelli, 1942 to 2026, founded ChiKaGo in 2009, led numerous Shamanic Dreaming Circles, and guided many in deepening meditation, connecting in the spirit realm, and listening for messages from angels. He authored The AngeLynx Oracle and the Angelish Dictionary, exploring how words can influence our paths while helping release old patterns in favor of fresh energy and new creations. All ages are welcome. Admission is 10 to 20 dollars with no one turned away, and attendees are invited to bring food and non alcoholic drinks for a potluck. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent. The Chi Ka Go ethos highlights chi as vital life energy, ka as the spirit soul, and go as the strategies that help each person share their unique gifts with community. The gathering centers on dancing, healing, singing, and creative expression, encouraging participants to set intentions and open to a wide range of creativity. Sanctuary Standards apply, including asking first, consent, respect, loving interactions, harm reduction, leave no trace, and no judgment. Yoga Now guidelines request comfortable clothing, shoes removed before entering the yoga room, proper disposal of trash and recyclables, and quiet conversation while others are sharing.

    Edwin McCain

Hobart · Hobart Art Theatre, 230 Main St

Hobart Art Theater and JL Entertainment present an all-ages evening with singer and songwriter Edwin McCain. McCain first rose to national attention in the mid 1990s with the album Honor Among Thieves, then became a familiar voice on pop radio with the hits “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask For More,” which also appeared on popular soundtracks. In recent years he has toured alongside Hootie & the Blowfish, Collective Soul, and Train, and he reached the final five on season 13 of The Masked Singer while performing in disguise as the Loch Ness Monster. His first full-length studio release in fifteen years, Lucky, co-produced with Lee Brice and Jerrod Niemann, spans blues, soul, rock, and folk. The record moves from the punch of “Chasing a Memory” to the tender “Love Me or Leave Me Alone,” the Southern rock salute “Sing for You,” and even an electronic-leaning cut, “Empire.” Recognized by The New York Times as a romantic voice in American music, he continues to connect with longtime fans and a new audience drawn in by his playful, self-deprecating TikTok clips that often involve his daughter. A podcast inspired by that online presence and additional touring are on the horizon, and after more than three decades of performing he remains unfazed by fame. This event welcomes all ages, and all sales are final.

All experiences of grief are welcome. Spend time in the quiet company of horses and connect with others who understand that healing does not move in a straight line. It is a chance to breathe, to feel what you feel, and to receive support. No horse experience is needed. Attendance is complimentary, and you can share as much or as little as feels right. There is no need to wait for your grief to feel big enough. If it matters to you, it matters here. Registration is required to reserve a spot.

2026 Baker Doubles Thanksgiving Eve 15th Annual Shaun's Bowling Tournament 11/25/26

    Valparaiso · Inman's Bowling & Recreation Center, 3201 E Evans Ave

A scratch Baker doubles bowling tournament limited to the first 90 prepaid teams, with a history of selling out. Teams consist of two adults in any gender combination and there is no team average limit. Youth participation follows Rule 400, which does not allow youth to compete in doubles with adults unless all prizes are awarded as scholarship. Lanes are freshly conditioned with Shaun’s 44 ft Turkey on the left and 44 ft Gravy on the right. Starting lanes are assigned by random draw and requests to bowl near other teams are considered. A brief practice takes place on the starting lane only before competition begins. The qualifier features five Baker games on the same pair to keep the pace moving. One bowler rolls frames 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 on one lane while the other rolls frames 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 on the opposite lane, and teams may change who starts each game. The top 16 teams advance to a two-game total pins Baker match play bracket with no pins carrying over. Both teams bowl at the same time on the same pair, switching lanes between games, and the higher seed chooses the starting lane. If there is a tie for the last qualifying spot, it is broken by the highest single game, then the next highest if needed. Payouts are based on a full field of 90 teams, with $1,200 for first, $1,000 for second, $715 for third and fourth, $500 for fifth through eighth, $250 for ninth through sixteenth, and $160 for seventeenth through twenty fourth. Approximately one in four teams cash. Optional side action includes team brackets that run forward on games 2, 3, and 4 and in reverse on games 4, 3, and 2, a team high game pot paying $100, $60, and $40 each game when calculated on 50 teams, a $10 high game pot that covers all five qualifier games, and a $5 mystery team doubles that pairs two teams using qualifier scores. Entry is $60 per person or $120 per team when paid early, with a higher late rate of $70 per person or $140 per team. Of each prepaid team entry, $99 goes to the prize fund and $21 covers bowling fees. No refunds are issued unless the spot is filled. This is an unsanctioned tournament that follows 10 Pin and Kings rules, surface changes are allowed, and bowlers may choose to bowl left or right handed. Prepayment is recommended to guarantee a spot.

    G. Love & Special Sauce w/ Todd Carey

    Chicago · Garcia's Chicago, 39 N LaSalle St

    G. Love & Special Sauce brings its hip hop blues fusion to Garcia’s Chicago, blending classic blues grooves with 90s-inspired beats, funk, and soul. Formed in Philadelphia by Garrett Dutton, also known as G. Love, with Jeffrey Clemens on drums and Jim Prescott on bass, the trio earned early attention with a laid back sound and rap influenced vocal delivery. Their 1994 self-titled debut on Epic Records featured the breakout track Cold Beverage, and the band has continued to evolve across releases like Coast to Coast Motel, Yeah, It’s That Easy, The Electric Mile, the reunion era of Sugar, and the GRAMMY-nominated The Juice. Recognized for lively performances and festival slots at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, G. Love also collaborates widely, including work with Jack Johnson, and pursues solo projects rooted in the blues. Todd Carey joins the bill with a catalog built on years of steady touring. His recent collaborative beach project led by LFG with G. Love & Special Sauce has quickly approached a million global streams and includes appearances from Cisco Adler, Bobby Alu, and Mihali. Carey has shared stages with John Mayer, Robert Randolph, and The 1975, co-wrote on Meghan Trainor’s triple-platinum album Title, and reached 10 million global streams with the viral single Nintendo. He appears on this run with longtime bandmate Rodney Flood. A limited Pre-Show Pop Off VIP Meet & Greet is available, featuring a solo acoustic storytellers set by G. Love with audience requests, one general admission ticket, early entry, a Q&A and photo opportunity, a VIP laminate, an exclusive poster, and first access to the merch booth. The event includes a general admission dance pit at the front of the stage. All sales are final with no refunds or exchanges, and tickets can be transferred through your TM Account.
