At Mill Race Park, the Columbus, Indiana Pride Festival offers a free, family friendly celebration that highlights diversity, individuality, visibility, and community with inclusive, hands-on experiences. The McDonald’s MainStage features host DJ Matty-O linking a lineup that includes a spoken word and DJ set by DJ Jones Portal, music from singer songwriter Nora Belle, R&B and soul by Day N Nite, FCBD and Datura style belly dance from Dark Side Troupe, and sketch comedy from Ramona Baldoni. Each project uses premium black walnut and other fine hardwoods, complemented by epoxy in colors you choose, with up to two colors selected on arrival. After the class, projects cure for about a week before entering a careful finishing phase that typically takes around six weeks, with timing influenced by class size and shipping. Finished pieces are shipped so they arrive in excellent condition. All ticket sales are final. If you cannot attend, someone may come in your place. Each attendee aged 12 and older must have a ticket, and a couples ticket allows two people to work together on one project.

Photo 101 returns with an introductory look at basic photography and how cameras work. The group meets in the conference room at Bartholomew County Public Library on the second Monday of the month. There is no cost to attend. Participants are encouraged to bring a camera, questions, and curiosity.
