Annual Lughnasadh Retreat at Stonehenge, Spencer

Celebrate Lughnasa, the Celtic first harvest, with a gentle retreat focused on renewal, balance, and rest at Celtic Glen Heritage Livestock. This living heritage farm, stewarded by educator and scholar Leslie Jo Frazier, emphasizes conservation and connection to the land. The setting includes a Stonehenge-inspired monument set within a historic limestone quarry, the state’s tallest sugar maple, heritage livestock, peaceful campsites, a cozy mini-cabin, donkey strolls, and even coffee with the goats, creating a place where history, nature, and community come together. The evening centers on unwinding and reconnection with a seasonal harvest treat, herbal and botanical beverages, a slow Restorative and Yin yoga session, and a sound bath by the fire. The morning begins with a simple harvest breakfast featuring an alpha-gal-friendly pastry, seasonal fruit, coffee, and tea. After breakfast, a sunflower-themed experience invites reflection on abundance, gratitude, resilience, and turning toward the light as a new season begins. Pricing options are available for different portions of the experience. The evening retreat is $65, the morning gathering is $45, and the full overnight retreat, which includes camping, is $100. Camping is offered for those who wish to stay overnight, and a cozy mini-cabin may be available directly through Celtic Glen. Unraveled Quilt Store's QUILTATHON

Unraveled Quilt Store’s Quiltathon is a marathon day of sewing that fuels local giving. Participants collect pledges from friends and family, either by the hour or as a single donation, then set up their machines at tables in the parking lot beneath a large tent and spend the day stitching for a cause. Bring your own sewing gear and projects. Unraveled provides the tables, the tent, and plenty to eat and drink, including lunch, snacks, beverages, and dinner. Sewing continues throughout the day and into the night. Funds raised support Compass Rose Farm Sanctuary, which began as a potbellied pig rescue and now offers lifelong refuge to more than 250 animals such as pigs, horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, and guinea fowl, with an emphasis on quality nutrition, veterinary care, and safe, comfortable living spaces. Support also extends to The Sanctuary at Browning Farms, a 110-acre farm animal rescue in Spencer, Indiana, that welcomes animals in need, provides necessary medical care, and shares education on responsible pet care with rural communities. Friskies dry and wet cat food donations are also appreciated, and the sanctuary goes through about a case each day. There is a $35 participant fee to help cover the tent and meals. The store does not profit from this fundraiser, and all money raised benefits the community. To register, call 812-821-0309, then start gathering pledges. If attending is not possible, sponsoring a quilter or donating cat food are thoughtful ways to contribute.

Debutants with special guest The Hammer and The Hatchet

Debutants brings an Indiana-bred newgrass energy with seven musicians from Fort Wayne. Built on guitar, mandolin, banjo, twin fiddles, cello, and upright bass, the group blends classic acoustic roots with indie folk, Americana, and freewheeling improvisation. The result honors tradition while exploring new territory. Their originals are shaped together, tuneful and heartfelt, and showcase the range of voices within the band. With five writers and six vocalists, they weave harmonies up to six parts, so the sound keeps evolving while staying unified. On stage their connection is unmistakable, joyful and full of momentum, many distinct pieces moving together like a single living whole. The music feels alive, radiating positivity and a sense of togetherness that leaves listeners smiling and fully in the moment. Featuring special guest The Hammer and The Hatchet.
