Tea & Tiaras: A Mother’s Day Celebration!
Celebrate Mother’s Day at The Charleston with a charming tea experience where tiaras set a royal tone and beloved characters like the Rose Princess, Rapunzel, and the Little Mermaid make the day feel extra special. Mothers, mother figures, and their little ones can share time together with light refreshments and a warm, elegant atmosphere. Two sessions are planned, and capacity is limited to about 50 tickets per session. Tickets are available through Eventbrite, with pricing set at $40 for one adult and one child, $25 for each additional child, and $15 for each additional adult. These gatherings often fill quickly. Bring a camera to capture the fun. The team will also record photos and video for promotional use, and pink wristbands will be available at check in for anyone who prefers not to be photographed or filmed. Plan for comfort with a rest before or after, and keep in mind that only light snacks are provided. Outside food and drinks are welcome, though a full meal is best enjoyed before or after. For safety, the venue’s staircase will be roped off, but it makes a lovely backdrop for pictures. A parent or responsible adult must remain with each child throughout the event. Performers create magical moments and entertainment, while adults provide any needed assistance so every child can enjoy their time.

Warren County Public LibraryFOBP Presents "Moonlight and Magnolias"
FOBP presents Ron Hutchinson's backstage comedy about the frantic rewriting of Gone with the Wind. In Hollywood in 1939, producer David O. Selznick stops production and shuts himself in an office with writer Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming to hammer out a new script over five intense days. The play offers a whirlwind look at studio era pressure, clashing egos, and creative chaos at full tilt at the Plaza Theatre. Please note that this staging uses peanuts extensively on stage, so patrons with severe peanut allergies should take necessary precautions. The production includes adult language and high energy farcical action and is recommended for teens and adults.
