Participants explore why clean water matters and how filtration works by building layered filters inside clear plastic bottles using simple materials like cotton balls, sand, and gravel. They test their creations on a jar of pretend dirty water to see how natural processes and water treatment methods remove pollutants, reinforcing practical lessons in conservation. This program takes place outdoors, so please dress for the weather. Registration is required.

Now in its 39th season, the Charles W. Logsdon Historic Downtown Elizabethtown Walking Tour offers an engaging stroll through the heart of the city, highlighting the people whose drive, talents, and values helped shape the Elizabethtown of today. The experience is free, with plenty of free parking available nearby. Because the route is mostly outdoors and may include uneven surfaces, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Families are welcome, as the tour is suitable for all ages. Look for the sign beneath The Cannonball in downtown Elizabethtown to find the starting point.
