    The Gay Agenda

Lafayette · Park Tower, 400 E Kaliste Saloom Rd

The Gay Agenda is Acadiana Queer Collective’s quarterly community gathering centered on connection, collaboration, and action. Each session brings together LGBTQ+ people, allies, organizers, professionals, and community members who want a safer, more visible, and better supported Acadiana. It offers space to share what people are experiencing, learn across perspectives, and turn conversation into coordinated progress. This gathering works to break down silos by bringing people with different lived experiences, roles, and viewpoints into the same room. Doing so strengthens networks, clarifies pathways to support, and builds sustainable ways to show up for the community. It centers LGBTQ+ voices while welcoming anyone committed to equity, care, and meaningful change. Each edition focuses on a specific community issue and is designed to be accessible, intentional, and action oriented. Expect a welcoming, structured but casual environment with facilitated dialogue through panels, roundtables, or a mix, opportunities to meet others doing this work across Acadiana, and time to reflect on what is working, what is missing, and what should happen next together. Food is available and there is time set aside to build relationships. Attendance is free, with donations encouraged to help sustain the programming. RSVPs help organizers plan thoughtfully and keep participants informed about updates and any changes to the schedule or location.
