Guided by Lisa Jones, a Conscious Breathing Practitioner, this in-person breathwork workshop invites participants to explore conscious, connected breathing as a path to deeper self awareness. Participants learn why healthy breathing matters and how their breath reflects what is happening in life, with practical guidance to shift individual patterns toward a more optimal state. Each class includes an informative introduction, about an hour immersed in a guided breathwork journey, and time afterward to debrief and receive insights from Lisa. For comfort and preparation, plan to avoid eating for at least two hours beforehand or keep it light if needed, arrive well hydrated, wear clothing that is loose around the abdomen, and bring a blanket, yoga mat and pillow.

At Casa Blanca Mexican Restaurant in Wilmington, bingo gets a musical makeover. Numbers give way to songs, and you can play on paper or right from your phone. As each track plays, mark your card, sing along, tap your feet, and you might even end up dancing.

Twice a month, Salsa-in Lowell students and friends gather at Sahel Restaurant for an evening devoted to salsa. The night starts with a salsa class and continues with a dance social featuring music selected by Franswa. Admission and the lesson are free. Explore the Ba Gua Zhang method of Lu Shui-Tian through training that treats traditional Chinese martial arts as a complete system. Instruction goes beyond choreography to emphasize internal principles, refined body mechanics, partner practice, and real-world application. Sessions highlight functional movement with partner drills, structural alignment, agile footwork, power development, timing, sensitivity, and martial use. Rooted in Ba Gua Zhang teachings and philosophy, the training builds balance, awareness, adaptability, discipline, and an integrated whole-body connection. Classes incorporate Ba Gua Zhang, Qi Gong, conditioning, stance work, forms, and partner application to foster both inner development and practical skill. Whether the aim is self-defense, honoring living tradition, physical conditioning, or personal growth, the emphasis is on turning classical methods into reliable skill and clear understanding. The lineup features Xavier, 16, on drums and vocals, who began gigging at 12. Olivia, 11, plays guitar and sings and has been performing since she was 9.
