Antarctica performs a two-hour set of 60s and 70s pop classics at the Melrose Farmers' Market, filling the market with familiar favorites from those decades.

Local artists bring live music to The Green as part of 3rd Ave’s ongoing series. This performance features Dan Drohan Collective. Guests can relax on the lawn with their own chairs or blankets, or listen from one of 3rd Ave’s restaurant patios. The series takes place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from May through September, with one Wednesday added each month.

Meltt takes the stage at The Sinclair for an all ages show. For every ticket sold, 25 cents will support The Shout Syndicate, a volunteer-run Boston initiative that funds youth-led arts programming at established non-profit creative youth development organizations across Greater Boston. The effort is based at The Boston Foundation and partners with the Mayor’s Office of Arts & Culture on the Boston Creates plan.

Rippopotamus brings the 35ish Tour to Goodnight Johnny's American Music Bar to mark 35 years of Boston funk. Special guest The Imperial Guardrail featuring Kit Holliday joins the lineup. This is the band's first appearance at the venue.

The bill pairs Muddy Ruckus with Le Prestige. Muddy Ruckus channels raw, psych rock energy from just two musicians, guitarist and songwriter Ryan Flaherty and drummer and vocalist Erika Stahl. Stahl drives a custom suitcase kick drum while Flaherty routes his guitar into two guitar amps and a bass amp at once, building a surprisingly huge, atmospheric sound. Le Prestige is an instrumental, improvisational outfit from Somerville and Cambridge whose originals draw on 60s soul jazz along with the big beats and looped textures of 90s hip hop and electronica. Their tunes favor horn-led themes and expressive soloing over grooves that touch funk, jazz, reggae and disco. Advance tickets are $15 and admission is $20 at the door.

TAZ takes the stage with an opening set from The Gravel Project. Seventeen-year-old guitarist, singer, and songwriter Brandon “Taz” Niederauer earned his nickname for his fierce playing and has already made a name for himself. After discovering his passion for guitar as a child inspired by the film School of Rock and his father’s records, he went on to portray Zack Mooneyham in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Broadway production of School of Rock the Musical. Based in New York City, he has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Good Morning America, and The View, and has performed with members of the Allman Brothers Band as well as artists including Buddy Guy, Stevie Nicks, Lady Gaga, Slash, Jon Batiste, and many others. In 2018 he performed with Sarah Brightman at The Phantom of the Opera’s 30th anniversary celebration and later joined Sara Bareilles, Alice Cooper, and John Legend in NBC’s live broadcast of Jesus Christ Superstar. He is also featured in Spike Lee’s Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It. The Gravel Project, formed by Andrew Gravel and featuring Jordan Gravel, Dave Fox, and Eguie Castrillo, blends rock, world music, and jazz with power and soul. Their sound carries the tradition of 70s blues and psychedelic rock with echoes of Santana, The Allman Brothers, and Tedeschi Trucks Band. Their fourth album, “Find What You Need,” delves into the work of sustaining healthy relationships, connecting songs through themes of love, growth, trust, remorse, frustration, and reconciliation. All ages are admitted. We Like Wool returns to Wakefield Porchfest with a set at First Baptist Church. This town-wide celebration invites homes, businesses, and community organizations to share space on their property for live music throughout the day, creating a rotating mix at each stop. EIHWAR brings its Nordic Ritual Nights to The Sinclair with a primal mix of thunderous drums, hypnotic vocals, and driving electronic rhythms inspired by Viking traditions. The European act is signed to Season of Mist, the label behind Heilung and Danheim, and has built a wide following with millions of YouTube views, major festival appearances at Hellfest, Wacken Open Air, and Midgardsblot, and opening slots for Mongolian folk metal group The HU. This tour marks their first live performances in the United States. This event is open to all ages.
