The Outpost celebrates a decade with a block party that runs both inside and out in the street. The festivities honor loyal customers, neighbors, regulars, friends and everyone who has visited over the past ten years. Now set for a new date and location, this sixth annual children’s festival celebrates African heritage with a full afternoon designed for families. Kids can dive into hands-on projects, hear stories, and make art that highlights cultures across the continent. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and settle in for music, drumming, and dancing alongside live cultural performances. Expect African cuisine, games, craft stations, and a variety of cultural activities throughout the day. Details on featured performers and special activities will be announced soon. The first 100 children age 12 and under who register will receive a ticket for complimentary African food, and adult meal tickets are available for advance purchase during registration. Vendor applications are being accepted, and volunteer opportunities are open.

The 24th Annual Pigtown Festival serves up a big, pork-themed celebration with a full slate of entertainment and activities. More than seven thousand people are expected to enjoy The Squeakness pig races, move to DJ sets in the Pigtown Lounge, and catch live performances on the main stage while sampling plenty of food and local libations. Shoppers can browse over seventy arts and crafts booths, and families will find Baltimore’s largest festival KidZone.

Set in the Greenmount West neighborhood, this free, family friendly celebration spotlights rhythm, culture, and community. The program begins with a Homa fire ceremony and a sound bath, then continues with live performances across three stages, the Grove, Street, and Community. Expect drum circles and open jams, hands on workshops for all experience levels, and a dedicated area where kids can explore crafts and music. A marketplace features handmade goods, fashion, jewelry, and instruments, while food vendors offer plenty of choices, including vegetarian and vegan options. Attendees may bring a drum and use a convenient Drum Check area. The festival takes place rain or shine. It is a short walk from Penn Station and Collegetown Shuttle routes, and street parking is available nearby. For more than two decades, the Baltimore Rhythm Festival has welcomed people of all ages to share creativity and connection, and all performances and workshops are free and open to everyone.

A lively outdoor céilí fills the Irish American Museum with music, dance, and community spirit as the museum grounds transform into an open-air dance floor that celebrates living tradition through every step. The program caters to dancers of all experience levels, with friendly guidance available to help first-timers learn the sets and keep everyone moving to the rhythm. Live music comes from Laura Byrne, Billy McComiskey, and Matt Mulqueen Friends. The afternoon also includes a performance by the Tír na nÓg dance group and showcases from BIMS students. It is an opportunity to dance, enjoy the tunes, share stories, and connect with Irish heritage. Soda and water will be available, and attendees may bring a snack to share along with their preferred beer or wine.

Presented by Heineken, Oktoberfest Live! transforms Leinie Lodge & Beer Garden at Power Plant Live! into a celebration of craft beer culture. This 21 and over festival invites guests to enjoy as many samples as they like from a mix of local and regional breweries, spanning crisp lagers, hop-forward IPAs, rich stouts, and seasonal pours. Entertainment, interactive games, and food specials keep the party going throughout the venue, set within Baltimore’s entertainment district. VIP upgrades are available for an elevated experience.

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Little Shop of Horrors with a special screening hosted by Ellen Greene, who originated Audrey onstage and later starred in the film. This rare appearance features an exclusive meet and greet with signed memorabilia and photo opportunities. The 1986 cult classic, directed by Frank Oz, blends science fiction, music, and comedy as Seymour Krelborn, a shy florist, raises Audrey II, a man-eating plant that brings attention to a Skid Row shop while demanding human sacrifices. Seymour must balance his feelings for coworker Audrey with the plant’s deadly appetite. A $175 VIP Meet and Greet includes seating in a VIP section, a photo with Ellen Greene taken on your own camera, and an autograph on a personal item you bring or on a photo from her collection. No late admittance after showtime. The film contains strong language and mature content and is rated PG-13.

Goodbye Vienna performs beside the harbor in Baltimore, bringing a lighthearted vibe to the waterfront. The show takes place at Waterfront Hotel Bar, with a playful nod to any off notes and the water close by.

This fall cemetery cleanup is organized by the Society of the War of 1812 in Maryland. Participants should bring gardening tools such as rakes, leaf rakes, loppers, or battery powered hedge trimmers. Downtown Cleanup Days invites volunteers to contribute to keeping Downtown Omaha tidy, inviting, and lively. All materials are provided, including gloves, trash bags, and basic tools. After a brief check-in and waiver, participants break into small teams to cover nearby blocks and make a visible difference. No advance sign-up is needed, and documentation for service hours is available after the cleanup. This effort complements the ongoing work of the Clean and Green Team and is presented in partnership with Keep Omaha Beautiful.
