Held at Rockwell Brewery, this meetup spotlights guests from the FCBIA Young Professional Builders Council. Enjoy free appetizers and giveaways, with drink tickets for the first 20 attendees provided by event sponsors Augustine Roofing and the Novotny Team at First Heritage Mortgage. Entry is free, and an RSVP on the organizer’s website is required to be eligible for giveaways. The focus is on networking, professional growth, and deeper involvement in the local community.

Canstruction Awards Reception

This free community art exhibit brings together creativity and compassion to help local families facing food insecurity. At Warehouse Cinemas, teams build large-scale sculptures from canned foods, and when the showcase ends every can goes to the Frederick Rescue Mission Food Distribution Center. The first night features an awards reception where judges present trophies for Best Original Design, Best Meal, Best Use of Labels, Structural Ingenuity, and Most Cans. The exhibit also includes public voting for the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced at the end of the display period. Sponsors include Gladhill Furniture, WLR Automotive, Our Heavenly Cause, Purple Donut Studios, Wormald Companies, and Octavo Designs. Participating teams include Abrakadoodle Western Maryland, DAVIS & Bates Architects, LLC, Keller Brothers, Inc., R.W. Warner, Inc., Triad Engineering, Inc. with Noelker and Hull Associates, Inc., Wormald, and WLR Automotive Group.
