This in-person event at Unruly Brewing features The Illustrated and Spike The Media. Tickets are $5 and the show is open to all ages. Expect live energy and opportunities to connect with fellow fans.

Experience a live performance by Big Daddy Fox on The Flight Deck rooftop at The Early Owl in Muskegon. Expect chilled drinks and easygoing lakeshore vibes, and there is no charge to attend. If weather forces the rooftop to close, the performance will move to the dining room inside The Early Owl.

Live music with Mike Struwin spotlights a Michigan native whose songs blend alt country, blues, bluegrass, roots, folk, soul, and even a touch of reggae into a sound that is distinctly his. He began making music at thirteen on the piano, soon moved to guitar, and released his first CD at seventeen with his high school band Steamboat Willie. His catalog includes Out of the Blue (2002), Roots Down (2005), Storyline (2008), Forgotten Hymns (2010), and Ginger Peach (2021). The Americana pulse and soulful flourishes of Roots Down earned national recognition, leading to soundtrack placements in the independent films Beautiful (2006, Imagine Afrika Productions) and Gringo Wedding (2006, Stepping Stone Productions). A devoted live performer, he has toured from Michigan to Colorado, was named Kalamazoo Acoustic Idol in 2004, and has shared stages with Greensky Bluegrass, The Wailers, Robert Bradley’s Blackwater Surprise, and members of Umphrey’s McGee and The David Crosby Band. Struwin is also the author of the children’s book Campfire Stu & The Backwoods Jamboree (2017), released with an album of original kids songs. Balancing family life and teaching with regional touring, he has built a following at venues and craft breweries along the Michigan coast. With more than 25 years of performing behind him, he is known for strong sets that leave audiences eager for the next song.

The Deck hosts beachside live music with Sushi Roll, a group that blends high-energy dance grooves with rock and roll swagger. Formed in 2012, they deliver a colorful show that combines driving rock and lighthearted pop with exuberant stagecraft. Look for cosplay flair with costumes inspired by anime and superhero culture, building a theatrical, upbeat atmosphere by the water.

Ben Traverse leads a musical journey through the era of American railroads, sharing traditional songs connected to train travel along with pieces that evolved under the influence of the rails. The program considers how trains sped the movement of people and ideas, sparked romance and legend, and shaped the sound of American folk music. Registration is preferred, and admission is free.

The Deck presents a beachside performance from Rusty and the Razorblades, serving up energetic rock and roll with a sharp edge. Enjoy live music by the water as the band delivers a high energy set.

His set spans top 40 hits and acoustic classics from many decades, with styles that include pop, rock, country, folk, and more. Now pursuing music to the fullest in Atlanta, he is excited to be playing in Muskegon once again.
