An open board gaming meetup at a local game store welcomes both newcomers and experienced players. It offers a chance to meet new people and enjoy a wide variety of games. The organizer brings a large selection, and GameQuest provides many demo titles that anyone can play for free. Attendees may come on their own, with friends, or with a favorite game to share. Sharpen your jumping technique at a focused, one-hour mountain bike skills session at Bonneyville Mill County Park. A NIMBA instructor with BICP certification will guide riders through safe, effective takeoffs and landings, with practice on a range of features suitable for beginner to intermediate skill levels. The clinic is free for NIMBA members. Non-members are encouraged to make a $30 donation, and those unable to contribute are still welcome at no cost. Prior completion of Level 1 and Level 2 fundamentals clinics, or at least a year of riding experience, is strongly recommended. Bring your own bike and helmet, as both are required and not supplied. Gateway’s free community fall festival and craft fair offers family-friendly fun with seasonal activities and treats. Enjoy pumpkin painting, a petting zoo, hayrides, mini golf, a barrel train, and inflatables, along with food and s’mores as a treat. Crafty Coins hosts a Disney Lorcana Collection Quest featuring the Infinity format, so cards from any set are allowed. There is no entry fee. Prizes scale with turnout. First place receives $145 in store credit. Second place awards $70 in store credit if at least four players participate. Third and fourth place are awarded when there are eight or more players, with $35 in store credit or $10 per win, whichever is greater. Fifth through eighth place are awarded when there are fourteen or more players, with $15 in store credit or $10 per win, whichever is greater. All other placements receive $10 per win, whichever is greater. Crafty Coins also notes it has written permission from Ravensburger to use Lorcana imagery to promote this event, and that using Ravensburger images requires permission.
