Platinum Creation Event CenterAuthor Visit! MI Notable Author John Counts Visits Wickson
Michigan Notable Author John Counts offers an inspiring talk on his latest book, Bear County, Michigan: Stories. He will lead a thoughtful discussion about the collection and will sign copies, with books available. Drawing on his background as a longtime journalist and crime reporter, Counts presents vivid, darkly humorous tales set in a fictional coastal community on the Great Lakes in northern Michigan, a place marked by both splendor and hardship. The linked narratives feature addicts, backwoods outsiders, and once-powerful lumber families, all united by a yearning for something just beyond reach. Michigan Notable Books is sponsored in part by the Library of Michigan Foundation and Michigan Humanities.
