The Summer Farmers Market returns with a lively season of local flavor. Discover farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, colorful flowers and plants, artisanal breads and baked treats, and an array of locally made goods. Food trucks serve ready-to-enjoy bites, making it easy to snack while you explore. Families can meet the farmers and makers and enjoy the welcoming community atmosphere all season long.

Enjoy a family-friendly Halloween party at the VFW, open to everyone. Families and kids are welcome, and costumes are encouraged to keep the spooky spirit alive.

Wear a Halloween costume and go trick or treating at more than ten tractors as part of Fall Fun at Weesies Brothers Farms, with this activity included in general admission. Enjoy a wagon ride to the U-pick pumpkin patch, a custom playground, and two additional tractor rides. Each ticket includes a pumpkin picked from the patch. A food truck is available on weekends. Children ages 2 and under are free. Activities take place at the Montague Garden Center and are offered only at the Montague location. Tickets are available online or at the Garden Center in Montague.

Drop in at the Bookmobile to sign up for a library card, get information about library programs, and borrow library materials to take home.

A community trunk or treat and candy drive takes place at Corine’s Soul Food, Cakes & Catering, offering a family-friendly setting where kids can collect treats from festively decorated car trunks. Free food and hot chocolate will be available for everyone. Participants who want to host a trunk are encouraged to bring a vehicle, decorate the trunk, and hand out candy, with the goal of filling the parking lot with creative displays. Wrapped candy donations are welcome in advance and during the event to support local children. To register a car or arrange a candy drop-off, contact Corine at (231) 571-8361.

New Era Bible Church is hosting a Trunk or Treat at an offsite location. The event will not take place at the church building. Candy donations are welcome.

Celebrate Halloween at the White Lake VFW with a family-friendly trunk or treat. Costumes are encouraged for kids and adults. Participants may decorate a vehicle trunk and hand out candy, or bring the family to enjoy trick or treating. All are welcome to take part or simply stop by to enjoy the festivities. Expect an evening filled with candy, creativity, laughter, and Halloween spirit.

Enjoy an unlimited breakfast buffet inside the Muskegon County Airport terminal, before TSA. Free parking is available. Pricing is age based: children 3 and under are free, ages 4 to 8 are $8.50, ages 9 to 12 are $13.50, ages 13 and older are $18.50, and seniors 55 and above are $14.50.

Young creators ages 10 to 15 can transform old books into imaginative art pieces in this hands on class. Participants dream up a new story for a reimagined book cover, then embellish their art book with a variety of found materials. The fee is $12. Call to register.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs arrives at the Frauenthal Center with a family friendly staging by the United European Ballet. Presented by Classical Arts Entertainment, this production retells the cherished tale through expressive dance, vivid character work, and clear, engaging storytelling. Set to the music of Bogdan Pavlovsky, the journey follows kindhearted Snow White, the jealous Queen, and seven lively dwarfs whose humor keeps the adventure bright and joyful. Audiences can expect a Broadway-inspired spirit, hand-painted scenery, and colorful costumes that turn the stage into a storybook world. A large international ensemble brings it to life, featuring dancers from more than 15 European countries, including artists from Ukraine. The ballet is performed in two acts with one intermission, making it an inviting choice for children and adults alike.
