The Centennial Lakes Park Summer Entertainment Series returns for 2026 with concerts on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday evenings throughout June, July, and August, featuring a mix of local favorites, big bands, and beloved park regulars. This date spotlights The Two Sundays Big Band. Bring a chair, pick up dinner from nearby eateries, and enjoy a full evening of live music. During the day, the park stays active with kids programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus a Thursday Farmers Market accompanied by live music on the plaza.

Campers dive into the basics of growing food while learning why fresh ingredients matter. The program follows the journey from garden to table, with a chef guiding hands-on activities. Participants will smell mint, cook in an outdoor oven, peel vegetables, make cookies, and sample fruits and vegetables picked right from the garden.

Campers will use fallen sticks and other natural materials to design and build forts while learning beginner engineering concepts and nature-inspired shelter techniques. The program centers on hands-on exploration in the forest, encouraging teamwork and creative problem solving. It aims to spark curiosity, build confidence, and strengthen a connection with the outdoors. Intended for children who have completed 1st or 2nd grade.

This free event is open to all ages and will be held at Augsburg Park. Everyone is welcome to attend.

This installment spotlights ARK: Acoustic Rock for Kids. Bring a blanket, choose a cozy place on the lawn, and settle in for an easygoing morning at the park.

Treats 'N Tunes brings neighbors, families, and friends together at Savage Community Park for an evening of treats, games, and live music. Free ice cream and lawn games set a playful tone, followed by a family friendly set from New Vintage Acoustic featuring classic rock and country. This summer series rotates through different parks and introduces a new musician at each stop.

At the Richfield Bandshell, TCSC performs an opening set for the Richfield Symphonic Band, setting the tone for an evening of live music. TCSC sings to begin the program, followed by the Richfield Symphonic Band.

Form a group of up to four and take on a 500 piece jigsaw at Nine Mile Brewing with Sarah Does Puzzles LLC. Teams race to be the quickest to finish, with prizes for the fastest groups and additional door prizes along the way. Every team keeps the puzzle they compete on, and the atmosphere is family friendly. Each table receives the same puzzle hidden from view until a countdown begins. Once the timer starts, boxes open and the building begins while a judge oversees the contest and records finish times. After completing the puzzle, teams may depart or stay to work on another one and enjoy a beer. Eating and drinking are allowed during the competition. Box top holders and sorting trays are permitted. Battery powered extra lighting is welcome as long as it does not affect other participants and does not need to be plugged in. Interfering with or distracting other teams is not allowed. Hosted by Minnesota Parent and Gillette Children's, this summer park playdate series takes place at inclusive playgrounds across the Twin Cities. It offers families a chance to connect with their community, enjoy summer fun, and learn more about inclusive play. Expect plenty of opportunities to socialize and stay active in the sunshine. Set for an adventure theme, this edition of 2D Con brings Minnesota’s largest gaming gathering to the DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomington Minneapolis South. It is an annual celebration of gaming’s art and culture that welcomes players of every background, puts community at the center, and raises funds for charity.
