In the wake of legal action, four survivors undertake the difficult task of working with the institution that harmed them, seeking justice while offering a hopeful path toward healing. This 2025 documentary runs 89 minutes. Following the screening, a salon style conversation will invite audience questions and comments. Two high-energy acts from different corners of the metal world share the stage as VOID from Lafayette, Louisiana and Phantom from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico bring a surge of thrash and speed. Formed in 2019 by vocalist Jackson Davenport, VOID channels an eerie, technically precise blend of thrash and heavy metal that fuses razor-sharp aggression with a theatrical shadow. Their debut album, Horrors of Reality, arrived in early 2023 and showcased rapid, intricate riffing and commanding vocals, followed by hard touring that expanded a growing underground audience. That run set up their first record deal, then the band pushed further with Forbidden Morals, a full-length concept release tracing a lost traveler’s descent into the castle of Vlad the Impaler. Dark, cinematic, and ferocious, it became a turning point and opened doors to larger tours and wider recognition. VOID has since signed with Metal Blade Records, continuing its ascent in modern traditional metal. Phantom took shape in 2021 under guitarist and vocalist J.C. García, also known as “Necrohex.” Rooted in Speed and Thrash, the group weaves together Traditional HM, Speed Metal, Deathrash, touches of Latin rock, and even textures inspired by classic NES game music. After early demos, the band issued its first album, Handed to Execution, in late 2023, then followed with the Transylvanian Nightmare EP in 2024, which secured a contract with High Roller Records. Their second full-length, Tyrants of Wrath, landed in 2025, with a third record, Not Midnight Yet, on the way. International tours have included festivals such as Keep it True Rising, Obscene Extreme, Hell's Heroes, Thrash Nightmare, and Wacken Open Air. Lyrical themes range from vampirism, horror, dark fantasy, and revenge to personal reflections, all delivered with an intense, aggressive sound that remains raw yet intricately structured.

Community Pet Clinics in 2026 take place on the third Sunday of each month at the North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center. Appointments are released monthly, and if all slots are filled, walk-up visits are welcomed as time allows. Early arrival is recommended for the walk-up line. Services include a quick vaccine exam provided by the volunteer veterinary team, core vaccinations for dogs and cats, microchipping with registration through Minneapolis Animal Care and Control, and nail trims. Core vaccines for dogs include rabies, canine DAPPv, and Bordetella, and for cats include rabies and feline HCP. The veterinary team does not diagnose conditions or provide medication. Costs are $40 for dogs and $25 for cats for core vaccinations, a microchip, and a vaccine exam. A distemper vaccination only option is $20 for puppies and kittens. A heartworm test for dogs over six months is $10. Three months of heartworm preventative is $15 with a heartworm test or test results from the past 12 months, and three months of flea and tick preventative is $20. Additional donations are welcome, and payment can be made onsite by credit card or cash. Clinics are open to dogs and cats of all ages, with a minimum age of six weeks to attend. Dogs must be on a non-retractable leash, and cats must arrive in a carrier. Pets should not have received vaccinations within the past year unless they are receiving a booster. A Mobile Pet Resource Center will be on site with supplies such as food, collars, and leashes, and pet-friendly vendors may also be present. For immediate vaccination needs outside the clinic, options include Animal Humane Society, Access Veterinary Care, and Vetco.

Nicknamed the "Hendrix of the Sahara," Vieux Farka Touré is a guitarist from Niafunké, Mali, and the son of the legendary Ali Farka Touré. Although his father initially encouraged a military path, Vieux earned his blessing to pursue music shortly before Ali’s passing. He began with drums and calabash at Mali’s Institut National des Arts, then quietly shifted to guitar in 2001. Early collaborations with his father became part of his debut release and are among Ali’s final recordings. During the touring shutdown of 2020 he focused on his craft in a studio he built at his family’s compound, leading to Les Racines in 2022, a return to deep roots and the desert blues tradition he has long explored. That same year he joined forces with Houston psych rock group Khruangbin on a collaborative album that Sir Elton John praised as one of the albums of the year and absolutely wonderful music. With each project he pushes into new territory and strengthens his reputation as a singular, innovative artist.
