The Stories Matter Market at Storyteller Cafe is part of Justice Jam, a community effort focused on funding recovery for survivors of human trafficking. Started in 2019 by a high school student who transformed a passion for music into a benefit concert and silent auction, the initiative has grown while keeping its purpose the same. Browse goods from local vendors, find activities for kids, and learn more about anti human trafficking work. The cafe's full food and drink menu will be available. This gathering is open to the public, and attendees may come and go as they wish. Donations from this effort are designated for the local Stories Foundation to advance recovery support for survivors.

Her work favors abstract form, gesture, spatial presence, and the pace of mark making over literal depiction. Drawing on a familiar vocabulary of shapes, colors, and lines from both recognizable and nonliteral sources, she aims to give presence to form. Guided by intuition and chance, and shaped by relationships and the wider world, she emphasizes deep blacks and sinuous reds as a response to the current moment and a personal sense of loss. Through movement and transition she seeks an essence that feels true, with the hope that it resonates with viewers. Marty Nash holds an MFA in painting from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Minnesota. She was a founding member of WARM Gallery and is a member of Form + Content Gallery. Her work has been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including the Catherine G. Murphy Gallery at St. Catherine University, the Katherine E. Nash Gallery at the University of Minnesota, Groveland Gallery, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design Gallery, Intermedia Arts, the Duluth Art Institute, and the Harry M. A Los Angeles native who embraces her Okinawan, Japanese, and Filipina heritage along with her American identity, she continues to advocate for storytelling from a golden perspective through her work on stage and screen.
