Explore linocut printmaking from start to finish in a welcoming introductory workshop. Demonstrations paired with plenty of hands-on time cover carving methods, creating texture, and using tools correctly. Lynyrd Skynyrd lights up Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee as the Double Trouble Double Vision Tour pairs them with Foreigner. This Minnesota stop brings two iconic rock bands together for a night of Southern rock spirit, nostalgia, and high-energy sets.

Campers use fallen sticks and other natural materials to design and build forts, develop basic engineering know-how, and try out shelter-building techniques inspired by nature. The experience highlights hands-on adventure, teamwork, and creative problem solving while exploring the forest. It aims to spark curiosity, build confidence, and deepen a connection to the natural world. Suitable for children who have completed grades 1 and 2.

A collection of canvases captures the instant where artistic vision and the natural world meet, creating pieces that reach beyond a strictly literal view of the environment. Rather than focusing on observation alone, these works convey sensation and emotion. Vibrant, color-rich landscapes seem to resonate together, radiating an energy that encourages a deep breath and a moment of stillness.

Campers explore how food is grown and why freshness matters, tracing the journey from garden to plate. With guidance from a chef, they take in the aroma of mint, cook using an outdoor oven, peel vegetables, bake cookies, and taste fruits and vegetables harvested straight from the garden. The hands-on activities show how fresh ingredients become a meal at the table.

A free event for all ages will be held at Augsburg Park. Admission is complimentary and everyone is welcome.

This free outdoor SHiNE Dance Fitness class takes place at the amphitheater in Staring Lake Park. SHiNE is a high cardio dance workout set to current hit music with choreography that blends jazz, ballet, and hip hop for a full body workout that helps participants feel confident and strong. All ages are welcome, and there is no requirement to be an Eden Prairie resident or an EPCC member.

TCSC opens the concert for the Richfield Symphonic Band at the Richfield Bandshell for an evening of live music from both ensembles.

Neighbors, families, and friends can enjoy an evening of free ice cream, yard games, and live, kid-friendly music. This edition features New Vintage Acoustic delivering a classic rock and country performance at the Community Park Pickleball Courts in Savage. Each stop in the series is hosted at a different park and highlights a new musician throughout the summer.

Build a team of up to four puzzlers and race to complete a 500 piece jigsaw as fast as possible. Prizes await the quickest teams, there will also be door giveaways, and every group keeps the puzzle used in competition. Each team receives the same puzzle sealed in a bag, and no one sees the image until a countdown starts the clock. A judge oversees the action and records official finish times. When your last piece snaps into place, you can head out or stay to work on more puzzles and enjoy a beer. Warm up beforehand with an optional casual puzzling session featuring practice puzzles, then shift into the speed contest. Every team gets its own standard-height table. Eating and drinking are allowed, and box top holders and sorting trays may be used. You may bring extra lighting if it is not plugged into an outlet and does not interfere with others. Distracting or hindering other teams is not allowed. This family friendly event is $40 per team. Minneapolis hosts the 26th stop of a mission spanning all 50 states to turn miles into wishes. Brady McDonald, together with his family and crew, continues the Zero to 100 Wishes effort, running 50 kilometers in every state on 50 consecutive days to help raise $1 million for Make-A-Wish. A free, low-key 5K run and walk welcomes participants of all paces, families, and supporters who want to cheer along the route. Choose a distance that fits, whether a mile, a 5K, a 10K, a half marathon, or the full 50K as part of the ongoing journey. There is no cost to participate, and donations benefiting Make-A-Wish are appreciated but never required. After the Wish Run, a Last Man Standing competition invites friendly head-to-head challenges with a chance to win a $3,000 cash prize. The Twin Cities Formula 1 Club hosts a live screening of the Dutch Grand Prix at Millrace Motor Club’s new facility in St. Louis Park. Millrace is a collector car storage, service, and social club. In addition to the race, attendees can view sports and collector vehicles, turn laps on racing simulators, and connect with local motoring enthusiasts.

Explore the art of multi-block linocut printmaking in a hands-on workshop that guides students through creating a layered image using two to four individually carved blocks. Participants develop strong designs, plan color separations, and sequence layers to add depth, contrast, and visual impact. Instruction covers accurate registration to keep each color pass aligned, along with carving approaches suited to bold shapes and fine textures. Through demonstrations and generous studio time, students will carve, proof, and pull a small edition of multi color relief prints. The extended schedule encourages experimentation, refined craftsmanship, and a deeper understanding of how color and composition work together in relief printing. At OMNI Brewery & Taproom, Bjorn Cycling sets up on alternating Sundays to provide quick bike checks and tune ups at a discounted rate. The Bikes & Brews ride travels through the southwest metro, then riders return to the brewery for a pint. Two ride options are available. Group A offers a longer, faster, more challenging route for experienced cyclists, while Group B follows a shorter, easier pace that welcomes all skill levels.

This hands-on workshop introduces the reduction linocut process, where a single block is carved in stages to build a multicolor image. Participants plan a layered design, carve sequentially for each hue, and practice careful registration so every pass aligns cleanly. Instruction focuses on color relationships, transparency, and contrast while progressing from the lightest layers to the darkest. Through carving, inking, and printing, students create a small suite of 3 to 5 prints and watch the artwork evolve with each stage. There is time to test ideas, troubleshoot, and refine technique, leading to more polished results.
