Organized with the help of Brian Miller, an accomplished guitarist, bouzouki player and singer, each installment features a diverse lineup of regional traditional Irish musicians. Miller has toured in North America and Ireland with Bua, Danny Diamond and other groups, performs with Northern Shores and Two Tap Trio, teaches at the Center for Irish Music, and has received Minnesota State Arts Board grants for research into Irish influenced music of Midwestern lumberjacks. He also writes the Northwoods Songs blog and hosts the weekly Shamrock Shore program on Jazz88.fm. Rooted in the Twin Cities tradition of lively Irish sessions supported by the Center for Irish Music and Celtic Junction, the series keeps the music going late into the night and Waldmann keeps the doors open as long as the tunes continue.
