Presented by Oikotan, Mahakali Mahotsav 2026, the Spark and Shakti Festival, brings people together for a full day of devotion, culture, and connection at Eden Prairie High School. The celebration features Mahakali Puja with prasad, colorful rangoli and other community activities, cultural performances, and food served throughout the day including lunch, snacks, and dinner. The festival is open to everyone, welcoming longtime participants and first-time visitors who want to experience Bengali culture with friends, family, neighbors, and new faces. Regular ticket pricing is as follows: children ages 6 to 12 are $26, youth 13 to 17 are $38, adults are $60, and seniors 65 and older receive a special discount. Donations help make the celebration possible.

The Feast of St. Hubert will be celebrated after each Mass. On Saturday there will be bingo, dinner, prizes, and a fireworks display in the Fellowship Hall, with payments accepted by cash or check. At Wayzata Oakwood Elementary School in Plymouth, this Junior STEM Club for kindergarten through fourth grade nurtures curiosity through weekly, hands-on projects from the Engineering for Kids program. Participants explore core engineering ideas while building problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork and confidence that carries into everyday life. This session features a mix of themed builds and experiments. Children combine materials to create a bubbling chemistry reaction. They design and test a small car powered by a propeller to investigate air thrust and inertia. A marine challenge highlights the role of coral reefs, followed by constructing a model reef meant to endure a simulated underwater quake. Another activity centers on motion as they craft a spinning toy and observe how momentum keeps it moving. An electronics project introduces simple circuits by assembling an LED light-up creation. The final challenge applies structural principles to build a sturdy, non-edible gingerbread-style house.
