Bricks Days of Summer 2026 Week #3

A summer of LEGO challenges returns with three new formats, three age groups, and weekly prizes. Each week begins with a fresh theme, and themed builds appear multiple times during the week with a maximum footprint of 16x16 studs. One day is dedicated to a speed set build where a dice roll determines which set you tackle, and faster completions earn more points. Midweek brings a pair of timed challenge tasks selected by chance, with several tries allowed and your best results recorded, alongside another round of themed building. Another day focuses on memory and precision as participants study a model briefly, then recreate it using provided pieces, starting from 50 points and losing points based on how many studs off the recreation lands from the original. The week wraps up by finishing themed builds for judging by members of TWINLUG, after which scores are totaled and weekly winners are announced. Points carry over throughout the season, leading to overall champions at the end. There are three winners named in each of the three age groups every week, and more than $1000 in store credit will be awarded over the course of the summer. No advance registration is required, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Elko Drift Academy - June 28th

At Elko Drift School, drivers spend a full day sharpening skills, building confidence, and getting meaningful seat time, whether it is a first attempt at sliding or a chance to refine existing technique. The day starts with a mandatory drivers meeting that includes waivers, a safety briefing, a schedule overview, track rules, car control basics, drift techniques, and time for questions. A tech inspection follows, covering safety items like helmets, belts, battery tie downs, fluids, brakes, and tires. After a classroom session on fundamentals and safety, the track opens for multiple driving sessions with instructors available throughout to provide feedback and answer questions. To keep the atmosphere low pressure, spectators and media are limited to friends or family that participants bring. Instruction is led by professional drifters alongside experienced local grassroots drivers, offering practical guidance from a variety of perspectives. Core learning focuses on car setup and track safety, proper drift initiation and throttle control, managing weight transfer and steering inputs, and consistently linking corners. Early runs emphasize foundational drills such as donuts, figure eights, initiation practice, throttle work, and corner entry, then progress to intermediate skills that highlight connecting corners and smooth transitions. The day wraps up with final thoughts and instructor feedback, plus time to hang out with fellow drivers. Participants should bring a drift-ready car, a DOT-approved helmet, long pants and long sleeves with closed-toe shoes, spare rear tires preferably mounted, tools and fluids, and essentials like water, snacks, zip ties, tape, and sunscreen. If you do not have a car, find a friend who has one, as rentals are not available. A Drivers pass is $150 and a Pit Crew pass is $35, and both include lunch. A complimentary lunch break provides food for drivers, crew, and volunteers and a chance to hydrate, swap tires, ask questions, and give cars a quick check. Kenwood Championship

This single day, two round C-tier takes place at Kenwood Trails DGC in Lakeville. All players use long tees to long baskets in both rounds, and division sizes may be adjusted based on registrations and any unfilled divisions. An optional $2 ace pool can be added during sign up. It is one shared pot across divisions even if layouts differ. If no registered player hits an ace, the pot rolls to the next event. After the final event of the year, any remaining amount is added to Amateur Season Points Series payouts. Payouts are available on site after play concludes. Pro divisions are paid in cash or via PayPal. Amateur divisions receive merchandise credit that can be used after the event or at Gray Duck Disc Golf. Amateur credits are valid for one year and are linked to the phone number used at registration. If multiple players register with the same phone number, their credits will be combined unless redeemed immediately after the event. Per player pass-throughs include 3 dollars to PDGA, 1 dollar for sanctioning and insurance, 2 dollars for course rental, and for MA1 through MA4 an additional 1 dollar toward season series payouts. This tournament is part of the Gray Duck Tour Series, which offers year end payouts for MA1 through MA4. One dollar from every MA1 to MA4 entry goes into that division prize pool for the season. Event points award first place 100 plus 0.1 times the number of players in the division. All other places receive 100 minus the result of 30 times the number of places behind first divided by the number of players in the division. Season totals count each player best seven events in a division. After the final event of the year, each division prize pool equals the combined number of entrants that played that division across all events, and payouts go to the top five percent of point leaders in each division, up to a maximum of ten players.

33rd Annual Lewis House Golf Tournament

At Brackett’s Crossing Country Club, the 33rd Annual Lewis House Golf Tournament brings the community together in support of Lewis House, the sole shelter in Dakota County for victims of domestic and sexual violence. This volunteer-led fundraiser features a full day of golf with two meals, plenty of fun, and prizes. Golfers can choose a morning or afternoon option. The morning flight, open to men and women, features 18 holes in a Best Ball Scramble with breakfast and a lunch program that includes raffles. The afternoon flight, for women only, offers 9 holes in a Best Ball Scramble with lunch at check-in and a dinner program with raffles. Participants are encouraged to lean into the Birdies & Beaches theme by dressing up and decorating carts for a chance at special prizes. Those who bring a toiletry item to donate to Lewis House will be entered into a special drawing. Registration is available for foursomes or individuals. Opportunities are also available for sponsors and raffle contributions, with five sponsorship levels that include recognition. In 2025, Lewis House provided violence intervention and prevention advocacy services to 2,133 individuals, and support from this tournament helps sustain services for women and children in Dakota County affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.
