Family events in Columbia, MO

Explore Mizzou’s South Farm, part of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, at the CAFNR Showcase at South Farm. Visitors can connect with CAFNR faculty, staff, and students at hands-on booths around the farm and take part in activities that include tomato tasting, meeting baby animals with a foal parade, cockroach races, and more. Children 12 and under who complete a Showcase Passport receive a free pumpkin. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

Hosted at the YMCA of Callaway County, the Callaway County Disaster Preparedness Expo is a community event designed to help individuals and families get ready for emergencies. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. Visitors can learn how to prepare for severe weather, fires, and other hazards, connect with local first responders and emergency professionals, and explore interactive exhibits, demonstrations, and safety resources. Expect practical tips and tools that can be put to use right away, whether creating a new plan or strengthening an existing one.
