This weekend in St. Clair, MO

Marking a milestone year, this family-friendly race offers 10K, approximately 5K, and 2K distances suited to both recreational participants and competitive athletes. The 10K and 5K are chip timed and travel a rolling route through Union, Missouri, culminating in a challenging climb to the top of Autumn Hill. Runners can opt to carry someone piggyback up the final stretch to earn extra finisher swag. No dogs are allowed on the course, except for service dogs. All proceeds benefit the Lance Purschke Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Union R-XI Foundation, a 501(c)(3), and contributions are tax-deductible. The event name pays tribute to Lance, whose daily post-school runs included Autumn Hill, where he inspired others to embrace the challenge and was the first known to carry a friend piggyback to the top.

Hosted by the Pacific Area Chamber of Commerce at the Pacific Youth Association Fields, this Community Kickball Tournament welcomes coed teams of at least eight players for a full day of friendly competition and outdoor fun. The winning team will choose a local charity to receive a portion of the event proceeds, adding a community-focused purpose to every game. Entry is $100 per team, and concessions will be available from the Pacific Youth Association. Teams can register through the Pacific Area Chamber of Commerce.
