Axe Throwing - Open to Public
Axe throwing is open at Southaven VFW POST #10567 with casual throwing available for $10 per person. A season pass covering April through November is offered for $50. Food and cold beer are available, and participation supports the VFW and the veterans it benefits. Participants must be at least 10 years old and wear closed-toe shoes. No experience is required, as coaches will be on site to teach the basics.

POKEMON JUNIORS CLUB
The Pokémon Juniors Club returns for a summertime edition at The Magic Arena, hosted by Pokémon Professor Nitia, also known as DragonLady, with support from volunteer judges and staff. It welcomes both Juniors and Seniors divisions for ages 6 to 16, with Juniors for those born in or after 2014 and Seniors for those born between 2010 and 2013. Admission is free. Young trainers help shape each session by voting on the activities they want to do. Options include casual trading card game play where participants can test a deck or borrow one from the Professor, opportunities to jump into Pokémon Go raids at a nearby gym, and a Champions Q&A with casual video game play led by a three-time Worlds Junior competitor who shares team-building advice, competitive insights, and research tips. Creative minds can take part in a weekly art challenge to design a Pokémon or a trading art card, with favorites chosen by the Memphis community and prizes for the winners. Group fun continues with team-based Pokémon trivia and lively rounds of Pokémon bingo, where jumbo cards are awarded to bingo winners. A fair trading policy is in place so trades can be worry free. Knowledgeable staff and the Professor are available to help ensure fairness and to teach how to spot counterfeit cards. The atmosphere is kept family friendly and PG, with clean language and content throughout. Judges and parents interested in helping out can coordinate with the Professor about available volunteer stations.
