Their sound blends literary minded emo folk with close-knit vocals and frank storytelling that delves into addiction, toxicity, trauma, and family. Influenced by Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower, they have sold out headline runs and received coverage from NPR Music, Alternative Press, Pigeons & Planes, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, and their hometown Atlanta newspaper. At just 21, they spent much of 2025 strengthening ties with a dedicated fan base through narrative rich performances that balance poignancy with playful humor, appearing at festivals such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, Austin City Limits, All Things Go, Live at Leeds in the City, Pitchfork London, and Pitchfork Paris, and wrapping a support tour with Cage the Elephant.

This concert at Eulogy features The Browning with support from Deadlands, Extortionist, and Blind Equation. A multi-artist bill brings these bands together on one stage for a full night of live music.

Rainbow Girls bring their harmony rich blend of folk, Americana, and indie rock to The Grey Eagle for an all ages, standing room only show. The Northern California trio of Erin Chapin, Caitlin Gowdey, and Vanessa May is known for layered vocal blends and energetic performances, trading off guitars, ukulele, accordion, harmonica, and percussion throughout the set. The project began in 2010 around an underground open mic in Isla Vista, evolved from a women-led collective into a tight-knit trio, and cultivated a grassroots following by busking across Europe and playing local farmers markets before settling in the countryside north of the San Francisco Bay Area. Their songs explore love, candid self-reflection, and social justice, with a strong emphasis on community, resilience, and real connection with the crowd.

Enjoy a Latin dance night with DJ Mtn Vibez providing the soundtrack and Moreno Mexica hosting. The evening features a salsa class and an expanded schedule to keep the energy high throughout the night. Admission is a $10 cover.

Shamrock Irons Irish Pub hosts a weekly jazz showcase curated by Asheville-based musician Steven Alvarez. Presented by Eulogy & Grasping Air Booking, this lineup brings together Green Leaf, Howling Giant, and High Desert Queen for a heavy rock showcase. Greenleaf began as a loose circle of friends devoted to 70s-influenced hard rock and proto-metal, then grew into a focused band under guitarist Tommi Holappa, a co-founder of Dozer. Over the years the project included contributors tied to Lowrider, Truckfighters, Demon Cleaner, and Dozer, and after multiple releases it took a major step in 2013 when Holappa invited classically trained vocalist Arvid Hällagård to collaborate. With drummer Sebastian Olsson and bassist Hans Fröhlich, the group found an immediate spark on stage and shifted from side endeavor to primary commitment. Recognized for powerful live sets throughout the European heavy underground, they have delivered four albums since that change, pushing desert rock influences forward with each one. A decade on from Trails & Passes, Greenleaf now presents The Head & The Habit, drawing on past successes with the confidence of a band that plays harder and tighter than ever.

At Asheville Music Hall, Son Little brings a sound that defies easy categorization, weaving soul, blues, folk, hip hop, and R&B into songs that feel both classic and personal. His textured production and a voice that balances grit with tenderness carry raw emotion to the forefront. He has worked with The Roots and RJD2 and produced a Grammy-winning song for Mavis Staples, with celebrated releases that turn vulnerability into strength. On stage the music opens up even more. Backed by a full band, the momentum grows, grooves sink deeper, arrangements stretch, and the feeling at the center of each song lands with powerful clarity.

World Famous Pets showcases a collaborative, improvisation-driven sound from Edie Brickell, Matt Chamberlain, Kaveh Rastegar, and Mason Stoops. Sparked by an idea from Brickell and Chamberlain and developed into a full partnership, the group treats songs as living, fluid creations shaped by attentive interplay and instinct. Their debut, produced by the band, features writing from every member and grew out of six days in the studio that generated a continuous flow of new material. Early tracks shared from the album include Maybe Somehow and I Guess It’s You, the latter rising from Stoops’s guitar strum and immediately resonating with the group. Advance general admission is $35.00.

Damien Jurado performs with St. Yuma at an all ages, standing room only show. His catalog includes Reggae Film Star, his 18th full length and the second release on his Maraqopa Records label, introduced by the track Roger. The songs on that record weave dreamlike scenes with personal detail, moving from film set backdrops and studio audiences to grocery stores and parking lots across the Pacific Northwest and the desert Southwest. The production, created with multi instrumentalist Josh Gordon and recording engineer Alex Bush at Sonikwire in Irvine, California, spans AM radio warmth, 60s psychedelia, driving rock and roll, Latin influenced rhythms, and atmospheric textures, with strings, melodic bass, and piano shaping the sound.

Commodore Fox brings a rocking vibe to Wild Wing Café for a lively Friday night.

Presented by Grey Eagle Events, this patio performance features Kyley Byrd with the High Mountain Flyers. Byrd, a fixture in Asheville’s music scene for two decades, is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose warm, soulful voice carries across styles with genuine energy. She is joined by the High Mountain Flyers (also known as the High MF’ers): Mark Fuller on lead guitar, Mark Chester on rhythm guitar, and JD Smith on electric bass. All three bandmates also contribute vocals and songwriting. Together they bring smooth harmonies and an easygoing feel, blending original songs with covers given their own distinct touch. This is a free, all-ages show, and patio seating is limited on a first come, first served basis.

Eulogy presents an evening with Rhett Miller, the acclaimed singer and songwriter best known for more than three decades at the helm of Old 97’s. The band earned a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 Americana Awards at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, building on a journey that began with two independent releases, a breakthrough on Elektra with Too Far to Care, and a thirteenth studio album, American Primitive, on ATO Records in 2024. Alongside his work with Old 97’s, Miller has crafted a solo catalog of eight albums, most recently 2025’s A lifetime of riding by night. His creative reach extends beyond music. He has published short stories, essays, and articles in outlets including Rolling Stone, Bookforum, Sports Illustrated, McSweeny’s, The Atlantic, and Salon, and he is the author of two children’s books with Little Brown Young Readers. His podcast, Wheels Off: Conversations about Creativity, has surpassed 200 episodes with guests from across the arts. On screen, he appears in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, performing a song co-written with director James Gunn, and his songs have been featured widely in film, television, and advertising. He also teaches songwriting at The New School in Manhattan, leads the annual Songwriting Is Magic retreat in the Catskills, and has taught workshops at respected programs and institutions around the country. Expect a performance from a celebrated artist whose work spans rock, Americana, literature, podcasting, and education.
