The Pszenny Project

The Rooster and Charlotte Blues Society team up for a monthly residency that highlights artists from the Carolinas blues community. Led by Mark Pszenny, The Pszenny Project mixes the heart of traditional blues with the punch of modern rock, drawing on influences like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Led Zeppelin alongside fusion-minded improvisation. Smoldering guitar lines and a powerful rhythm section drive a set built on intensity and feel. Alex J. Wolfe, a Carolinas-raised multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and performer, blends country, blues, and Americana with a strong sense of place shaped by nature, history, and storytelling. On his debut EP, Ain’t Hard to Satisfy, he played every instrument, and with Kudzu he guided collaborators while refining his distinct sound. All ages are welcome.
