Sample a free, high-energy dance class designed for children in kindergarten and first grade. The session highlights rhythm and personality, giving young movers a lively taste of the stage experience. Participation is intended for dancers currently enrolled in K or 1st grade.
Keep America Beautiful- Earth Day Clean Up
This Earth Day community cleanup, connected to America 250, focuses on making local spaces cleaner and healthier. Participants are organized into zones to remove litter throughout town. Safety vests, gloves, and trash bags are provided. The group gathers afterward to measure the amount of trash collected and see the impact of the shared effort.
Troutman Parks & Recreation OfficePokemon League
A relaxed Pokemon league event centered on learning and casual play. Participants may bring their own deck, and new players can learn on site. The atmosphere is fun, with promotional items available.
Cornelius Peninsula Grand Depart from Lost Worlds
Wednesday night group rides set out from Lost Worlds Brewing in Cornelius, organized into four pace groups so everyone has a place to ride. Group A targets 19+, B+ 18 to 19, B- 17 to 18, and C 15 to 16, with the C group designated as no drop. Every group follows the same 25 mile route, which means anyone who slips off the pace can expect the following group to come along shortly. Lost Worlds has a new phone app that lets riders earn rewards for each ride, and on Wednesdays there are half priced bottles of wine and one dollar wings.
