Teens ages 13 to 16 can take part in a therapeutic Dungeons & Dragons group in Davidson, NC that strengthens confidence, communication, friendships, and practical social and emotional skills through shared storytelling, teamwork, puzzles, and play. Sessions are led by licensed therapists Joey Schnople and Katie Lear, who support participants with social skills, anxiety, neurodiversity, ADHD, and confidence-building. No prior D&D experience is required, so beginners are welcome. Field of Flags Summer Celebration

At Lowe’s YMCA, the annual Field of Flags Summer Celebration brings the community together with a stirring display of more than 300 American flags, live music from Christina & Daniel Eagle, tasty choices from local food trucks, and a grand fireworks show. The program includes a Field of Flags ceremony, a full performance by Christina & Daniel Eagle, and a finale in the night sky. Early arrival is recommended for the best views. For safety, fireworks will launch from the lower front field, and the fallout area will be clearly roped and fenced. The stage will be placed in front of the Y building with ample space for seating, and the flag display will be arranged on the lower field as before. Please note that the YMCA parking lot will be closed, and portions of Plantation Ridge and Joe Knox Ave around the Y will also be closed. Grills, pets, sparklers, and outside fireworks are not allowed. Flags are available for purchase online or onsite.

Troutman Fireworks Celebration

The Town of Troutman’s annual fireworks celebration takes place at Iredell County Fairgrounds and is free to attend with a family friendly atmosphere. Guests can bring blankets and chairs to settle in on the midway and enjoy the evening, with live music by DJ Sheldon, food trucks, bounce houses, and activities leading up to a fireworks display after dark. For entry, only clear bags are permitted. Chairs, blankets, and bottled water are allowed. Coolers, glass containers, fireworks or sparklers, tobacco products, alcohol, and tents are not permitted.
