Live music in North Wilkesboro, NC

This songwriter night is part of a series that includes five songwriter nights and one showcase. Participants must register at least one week in advance using a sign-up form. The showcase winner will have the opportunity to perform on The Martha Bassett Show.

The Martha Bassett Show is taped before a live audience at Reeves Theater, a historic venue in downtown Elkin, and brings together the broader roots and Americana scene with the creativity and heritage of North Carolina’s Piedmont. Led by Martha Bassett, a highly regarded North Carolina musician, the program features national guests, new local voices, and songs from Martha herself. Each taping unfolds as a collaborative blend of music and conversation among Martha, her band, and the visiting artists. The performance is captured and streamed live, then crafted into a one-hour broadcast for 88.5 WFDD and other NPR stations, with episodes also available as a podcast.

A celebration marking Hometown's sixth year brings an evening of fun, live music, and community. The night includes live tunes, food and drinks available, and yard games. Friends, family, and fellow campers can spend time together.
