A brand new 24 hour race from Stubborn Donkey Running, created in partnership with the City of Weldon and Weldon Mills Distillery, unfolds on the historic Roanoke Canal Trail with a playful nod to the end of Prohibition. The course features a flat 4.2 mile out-and-back on mixed terrain that is mostly dirt, starting and finishing in River Falls Park. Runners will find space to set up tents along the course, with nearby parking and portable restrooms. Bring a light for the overnight miles, and look for a well stocked aid station, music, and chip timing. The race takes place in front of Weldon Mills Distillery, and while the distillery is open, participants and crew may step inside to enjoy a beverage. Finishers at any distance receive a medal, and those who complete 100 miles earn a custom buckle. Packet pickup is available at Weldon Mills Distillery, with more details to come.

An evening steeped in shadowy holiday spirit features Krampus, the horned herald of seasonal mischief.
