The Sowing Seeds Golf Tournament at Zebulon Country Club raises funds to combat food insecurity and support families across the region. Team entry is $500. Participants can look forward to 18 holes of play, a 50/50 raffle, contests for longest drive and closest to the pin, hole-in-one prize opportunities, and a mix of auction items and giveaways. Registration covers golf with a cart, a small lunch, complimentary beer during the round, and a steak dinner after play. Optional on-course games, contests, raffles, and challenges offer additional chances to win while supporting Sowing Seeds. Proceeds benefit the organization’s food pantry, mobile distributions, and community outreach, extending help to tens of thousands each year.

Friday Night Magic offers a welcoming mix of casual games and organized play. Formats alternate every other week between Standard and Commander. Entry is $10. Swiss style tournaments run when the minimum player count is met, alongside casual play. Players of all experience levels are welcome, with chances to trade, learn, and meet other players.

Tarboro Town Common transforms into a lively setting of celebration, imagination, and time-honored charm at The Tarborough Faire. The day features live music and dancing, varied entertainment and special performances, artisans selling handcrafted goods, and a wide selection of food and beverages. Attendees of all ages are welcome to wear costumes. A festive kickoff parade sets the tone for a full day of merriment. Further details are expected to be shared.

Every Saturday features a Pokemon gathering with casual matches and tournament play when the minimum number of trainers is met. Trading is welcome, and the event is open to both new and experienced trainers. The entry fee is $10. It is a chance to play and trade together.

Pokémon League at The Gilded Dragon welcomes Trainers of all ages and skill levels. Learn the game, fine tune a deck, or simply play and trade in a casual, friendly setting. Prize packs may be awarded in different ways to encourage learning, good sportsmanship, and participation. Trading and deck help are encouraged, and a trading policy keeps exchanges fair and positive. Any trade involving a child must be verified by store staff before it is finalized, so attendees should check with a staff member before completing the trade. The focus is on building a safe, fun Pokémon community for everyone.
