Free events in Bridgewater, NJ

An annual, free, outdoor, family-friendly festival celebrates the arts, culture, and history of New Brunswick and Middlesex County. The lineup includes live music and dance from Warehouse Collective, Dance Warz, New Brunswick Brass Band, Grupo de Danza Folklórica La Sagrada Familia, and State Theatre New Jersey’s 2026 Jersey Talent winner, tap dancer John Boudouvas, with more performers to be announced. Families will find free dance classes for kids with Princeton Ballet School, craft and visual art vendors, face painting, henna, and balloon animals at no cost, a health and wellness area by Garden of Healing, hands-on craft activities, food vendors, and ticket giveaways. Presented by State Theatre New Jersey and New Brunswick Cultural Center.

The free ESL Conversation Class is geared toward adults who want to build confidence, with discussions covering everyday topics and useful phrases. Sessions are guided by English-speaking volunteers, and participants should meet at the back table by the periodicals.

High in the Mid 80's takes the stage at Duke Island Park as part of the Somerset Summer Concert Series with a set of era-defining tunes from the mid 1980s. The show features new wave, synth-pop, and dance floor favorites performed in a style that captures the era's signature sound and energy. Admission is free.

Catch a free outdoor concert featuring Frank Viele, a multi-award New England blues rock artist known for soulful songs and high-energy touring. The performance will be held at the Roxbury Public Library gazebo. Bring your own lawn chair for an evening of music, and note that the first 100 attendees who bring donations to Roxbury Social Services will receive free ice cream.
