ADHD Social Skills Group Ages 10-15

1 Executive Dr, Marlton · verified Oct 9
    See details

Designed for children and teens with ADHD ages 10 to 15, this small-group program focuses on building real-world social skills in a supportive setting. Each session spotlights one skill, which is demonstrated, practiced through structured activities and games, and reinforced with real-time coaching alongside peers. Participants work on joining group conversations, starting and sustaining dialogue, reading social cues, handling wins and losses with composure, managing frustration, sharing information rather than monologuing, exercising self control, collaborating as a team, resolving conflicts, and creating and maintaining friendships. The goal is to help participants move from simply knowing social rules to using them confidently in everyday life. Led by Mike Marchionne, M.S., BCBA, the group emphasizes confidence, connection, and meaningful interaction with guidance and feedback throughout the session. A new focus is introduced each week, with planned opportunities to engage with peers and practice. After every meeting, parents receive a brief recap and suggestions for continued practice at home. See details

Drop In Advanced Learning sessions offer a flexible way to keep Scent Work skills sharp without committing to a long course. These advanced, space-limited classes at Alpha & Omega Working Dogs are designed for teams already training or trialing, or for those who have finished intermediate work, trained online or with another instructor, or completed an NACSW Odor Recognition Test. Whether visiting occasionally to maintain proficiency or coming regularly to accelerate progress, participants can choose a pay-as-you-go approach. The fee is $50 per drop-in. Auditing without a dog is $20 per visit, and on Scent Work Sunday a single $20 fee covers auditing the morning Intro, Intermediate, and Advanced sessions. See details

A welcoming women’s circle devoted to creativity, connection, and remembrance invites participants to slow down and reconnect with themselves in a supportive space. The gathering explores the turning seasons, lunar rhythms, body wisdom, and the many cycles that shape a woman’s life, with themes that evolve in step with nature and the feminine journey. Through guided reflection, meditation, journaling, intentional creativity, intuitive painting, meaningful conversation, and gentle mindfulness and body-awareness practices, attendees give form to the stories and emotions within. The focus is on expression and curiosity rather than perfection, and no prior art experience is required. All art materials are provided, and participants are encouraged to bring a journal. The circle honors the power of women coming together to remember that they are not meant to carry everything alone, that creativity can be healing, and that belonging comes from returning to oneself. Many leave feeling more grounded, inspired, and connected to themselves, to one another, and to the timeless rhythms that guide us.
