Part of the UCPAC Summer Arts Camp Series, this Latin Percussion Week invites children ages 7 to 12 to discover rhythm through a beginner friendly, hands on experience. Led by the Percussion Gateway Project, campers learn the foundational clave pattern, explore the sounds of congas, and delve into the history behind these beats to understand their cultural significance. The program is held in person with a learn by doing approach that encourages creativity and self expression. Each one week session wraps up with a showcase and a pizza celebration so family and friends can see what participants have achieved. The cost is $135 per child for the week, with discounts available for multiple weeks.

Concerts in the Park features Exodus Supreme at Carteret Park, showcasing a duo that blends reggae, soca, R&B, Latin, and pop. If weather conditions are poor, the concert will be moved to the community center.

Gypsy Funk Squad performs a free concert in the small park across from the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway. The park offers shade and picnic tables. Attendees can pick up food from nearby spots, relax, and enjoy live music and dancing.
