No Excuse Saturdays envisions sustained neighborhood care across every borough in New York through recurring cleanup drives rather than one-time projects. The aim is to turn Saturdays into a citywide ritual dedicated to keeping communities clean.

The New Jersey chapters of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. have moved their 5th Annual Rho Union Family NJ Cook Out to a new date due to recent weather. Hosted at Warinanco Park, this gathering brings together families, Sorors, members of the Greek community, friends, and neighbors from across New Jersey. Guests are encouraged to come with loved ones, show their organizational colors, and celebrate unity in a welcoming park setting.

A five-night, six-day lakefront retreat in the Catskills features daily yoga and Pilates, soothing sound baths, immersive workshops, and farm-to-table cuisine. France Joli delivers signature hits like Come to Me and Heart to Break the Heart. The Trammps featuring Earl Young light up the stage with Disco Inferno and Hold Back the Night. Lime brings Babe, We’re Gonna Love Tonight and Your Love. The Blue Notes revisit The Love I Lost and Bad Luck. Gary’s Gang keeps the groove with Keep On Dancin’ and Mandolay. Musique offers In the Bush and Keep On Jumpin’. First Choice performs Doctor Love and Let No Man Put Asunder. Disco Unlimited, billed as the number one disco band on the East Coast, adds live band energy to the celebration. The night also features sets from DJ Eddie D, DJ Ralphie Dee, and DJ Tito Tee, with hosting by Brooklyn’s own Joe Causi and Speedy.

This team race meetup on Staten Island is connected with the NYRR Staten Island Half and brings the Latinas Run community together for a group run with waterfront views that include New York Harbor and the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. Runners can connect with one another while taking in the sights along the route.

At Carmine Carro Community Center, the Brooklyn Walk for Research features an event village to start the day, followed by a ceremony and a community walk. The route is a three-quarter-mile loop with the option to complete one or two laps. The course accommodates wheelchairs and strollers, and dogs are welcome.

This BCRAC Broadway Bus trip heads to the Palace Theatre in New York City for The Lost Boys. The price is $255 per person and covers orchestra seats and bus transportation. Adapted from the classic Warner Bros. film, The Lost Boys follows Lucy, portrayed by two-time Tony Award nominee Shoshana Bean, and her sons Michael and Sam as they move to the coastal town of Santa Carla in search of a new beginning. As Lucy works to rebuild their lives, Michael is drawn to a local rock band and its magnetic leader, while Sam realizes that after dark those new friendships come with unexpected danger. The first edition of this co-ed pairs competition brings together Girls Gone Rx and Guys Gone Rx at CrossFit 585-MetFix Victor. Teams consist of one male and one female. Two divisions are available, Rx and BAM. Competitors will take on four workouts, with overall standings influenced not only by performance but also by team fundraising. Each pair can set up a fundraising page, and a portion of event proceeds supports Compete for a Cure, a breast cancer charity.

The experience includes a Big Apple Breakfast Buffet at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, then time to secure a spot along the parade route. Marking a century of tradition, the parade showcases its well-known giant balloons, floats, performers, and marching bands, with special centennial elements and groups such as the University of Alabama’s Million Dollar Band.
