An open studio with Haemee Han highlights the work of a public artist, landscape architect, and educator born in South Korea and based in New Jersey. Han works at the meeting point of sculpture and landscape, exploring how objects can read as terrain and how environments can be distilled into intimate, inhabitable forms. Her practice focuses on public space as a place of encounter, where scale, material, and narrative shape shared experience. As the founder of Jaemee Studio and a licensed landscape architect, she creates interactive settings across public installations, garden exhibitions, and built landscapes that encourage movement and conversation. Her training includes a Master of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her work has been shown internationally, including the Chaumont-sur-Loire Garden Festival in France, and in projects throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Through experiments with form and shifts in scale, and by reimagining familiar objects, she crafts spaces that blur function and imagination and spark dialogue among people and place. An artist talk with Han is also planned at the same location.

Women’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Technique & Open Mat

This women-focused Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu evening centers on skill building and a welcoming training atmosphere at Comfort & Balance Wellness Center in Woodbridge, NJ. It begins with structured drills and technical practice that emphasize repetition and timing, escapes, transitions and positional awareness, mobility and flexibility, and polishing mechanics while strengthening existing skills. After that, an optional open mat provides controlled rounds where safety, respect, and learning guide the experience. 1v1 Tournament

This one-on-one paintball tournament features solo matchups and a straightforward setup. Entry is $100 and includes one case of paint, with additional cases available for $50. At Parker Press Park, Sugaray Rayford brings a message-forward performance powered by a commanding voice and a larger-than-life presence.
