    Evil Dead the Musical

    Sussex · Crescent Theater

Five college friends retreat to an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash a sinister force that turns them into demons. Ash, a housewares store worker who becomes a chainsaw-toting demon slayer, steps up to save the day. Expect splashes of stage blood, severed limbs, and wisecracking demons, all delivered through wild musical numbers. The tone stays comedic from beginning to end, sending up the horror genre instead of aiming to scare or shock. Even those who are not fans of Evil Dead, horror, or musicals can jump in for the laughs. There is also a Splatter Zone, a section of the audience that gets covered in fake blood.
