Explore the rarely seen interior of the Woolworth Building, a neo-Gothic landmark that once held the title of the world’s tallest skyscraper for more than 17 years. Commissioned by Frank W. Woolworth and designed by Cass Gilbert, it opened in 1913 and became known as New York’s Cathedral of Commerce. Closed to the public since 2020, this official behind-the-scenes tour provides authorized access that serves as the only public way into this private building. Led by licensed New York City guides and Woolworth Building experts Bob Gelber or Ed Welter, the experience traces the tower’s origin story, highlights the intricate terracotta ornamentation and symbolic details on the exterior, and continues inside for a private look at the grand lobby with its marble walls, vaulted ceilings, and hidden motifs. The visit also descends to the lower level to view the historic vault that still houses original safe deposit boxes. Please note that there are no public restrooms, the itinerary is limited to the lobby and first sub level, and elevator access between floors can be arranged in advance. Comfortable footwear is recommended since there are no opportunities to sit, and guests are asked not to wander the lobby before, during, or after the tour.

Homebrewers can test their skills without modern tools like clocks, thermometers, hydrometers, or chillers, while newcomers receive step-by-step guidance. Participants will malt grain and brew the mash over a fire using period methods. Everyone helps create the wort, then takes home a growler, an airlock, yeast, and instructions to finish fermentation and produce authentic Spruce Beer in about ten days. Learn about beer’s role at the early American table and what really took place in colonial taverns. This outdoor class calls for practical gear, so wear work clothes, bring leather gloves, and dress for the weather. The fee is $99 per person and includes Colonial Beer. In this format you are the brewer with coaching throughout, rather than simply observing a demonstration.

Players with Fargo ratings of 675 and below can compete in a 9-ball tournament that requires a minimum Fargo robustness of 200. Bink International Charity coordinates a weekly bread and pastry distribution in East Orange, New Jersey, sharing a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and sweet treats donated by Paris Baguette in Livingston, New Jersey. Each week, volunteers pick up the donations and deliver them to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or financial hardship in the community. The effort aims to reduce hunger and limit food waste so good food nourishes people rather than being discarded. Distributions take place on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as well as on the first and third Fridays of each month. Volunteer support includes picking up donations, sorting and packing baked goods, loading and unloading, assisting with distribution, and outreach to reach more people in need.

Conceived by Carl Palmer and his management in cooperation with the estates of Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, this tour uses modern technology to reunite the band in a distinctive way. Carl performs live on stage with two additional musicians while Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, who both died in 2016, appear on large video walls featuring their performance from a 1992 Royal Albert Hall show. It is presented not as a tribute, but as the genuine article, with all parts coming together so the music is performed as one across stage and screen.
