Presented with Maine Mavericks, Inc., this Silver Show at Broome County Fairgrounds offers a day-long slate of competitions with classes for riders at every level, from first-timers to seasoned competitors. The atmosphere is friendly and inclusive, with many classes and opportunities to build experience and accumulate points. It is a lively day shared with friends, horses, and spirited competition.

A lively day of record breaking centered on jigsaw puzzles is set with three ambitious challenges. Participants will aim to create the largest human jigsaw puzzle piece, gather the most signatures on a puzzle, and set the mark for the most individual contributions to a jigsaw puzzle in eight hours. For the human puzzle piece, 3,000 people are needed to quickly form the shape and hold it for five minutes while aerial photography and judging take place. Instructions on how to line up are provided in registration materials. The formation takes place in the Collier Street Parking lot, followed by an orderly move for most participants to Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. All attendees must wear the purple event T-shirt and badge for admission. The signature attempt is simple. Add a name to the puzzle, with a goal of at least 1,000 signatures. A special guest may be present to announce when the milestone is reached. The contribution attempt features a 40,000-piece Ravensburger puzzle divided into 10 panels and 10 bags across 10 build stations. Each station includes sorting trays, a dedicated build area, and a Puzzle Champion to guide teamwork. To count toward the record, each person places a single piece immediately after the person ahead of them, creating a steady, continuous line of builders working together.

This beginner-friendly group run meets on Saturday mornings. The route covers about 5K, and runners of every pace are welcome.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Binghamton brings the community together to support the effort to end Alzheimer’s and other dementias. With promising new treatments emerging, the event focuses on hope and the shared determination to move toward a future free from these diseases.

An ATA registered trap shoot features a program that includes two rounds of 50-pair doubles, a 100-target singles event, and a 100-target handicap event. The cost is $24.00 per 100 registered targets, plus a $7.00 ATA fee. Participation requires active ATA membership, with a limited number of complimentary first-time memberships available. Memberships and renewals will be offered on site for $20.00. Limited concessions will be available. The program is subject to change at management’s discretion. Now in its sixth year, Ride for Richie brings riders together for a group outing that begins and ends at American Legion Post 1194. Motorcycles and cars are both welcome. The day features a group ride, food, raffles, and live music. On-site registration will take place before the group heads out. The event is hosted by Michelle Lupo. Coolers are not permitted.
