Travis Stealey

Comedy returns to the Crooked Mouth stage with a stand-up showcase featuring Travis Stealey alongside Will Johnson and David Farmy Sickle. Travis delivers razor-sharp observations, self-aware humor, and candid storytelling, turning everyday frustrations into unpredictable laughs about work, relationships, modern life, and the odd situations people land in. His relaxed stage presence pairs with quick wit and real-life tales, and he has shared this style at clubs, bars, theaters, and independent shows nationwide, including Hawaii. Will Johnson brings a no holds barred approach as one of Albany’s rising comics. He created the locally renowned Afraid of the Dark comedy shows, a rare themed series that has found success in the area, while also appearing at the Comedy Works comedy club in Saratoga and on Don’t Tell Comedy. He is among the few comics to advance in Capital Region’s Funniest in more than one year, with a finals appearance. Rounding out the lineup is David Farmy Sickle. The Masculine Within | Father's Day Mini-Retreat

A small-group somatic session centers on breath, sound, and embodied exploration, offering a gentle place to slow down and turn inward. Instead of analyzing or revisiting the past, participants are supported in noticing what is present in the body and exploring how they relate to safety, support, and the masculine at a steady, well-resourced pace. Guided practices use simple breathing, subtle movement, sound, and somatic awareness to calm the nervous system. Attendees can notice patterns of holding, bracing, or softening, use breath and sound as tools for regulation and awareness, and reconnect with an inner sense of safety. The gathering concludes with a soft integration practice to help the body settle and absorb the experience. There is no pressure to share and no expectation to go deep, simply space to be with oneself in a supportive, intentional setting. This is an introduction to the work, a place to arrive, soften, and begin. Participation is limited to six people, and light, nourishing refreshments are provided. For those who wish to continue, a deeper, more immersive offering is planned for the following weekends.

Breath + Body

This guided session weaves conscious breathing, lymphatic-inspired movement, somatic awareness, and voice work to help release what has been held and reconnect with a natural sense of flow. Intentional practices support the shifting of stagnant energy and the easing of longstanding tension. Sound and vocalization serve as tools for clearing so what feels unspoken or stuck can move through in a safe, supported way. The emphasis is on unwinding rather than performing. Tune inward, follow sensation, and let the body set the pace. This might look like gentle breath, expressive sound, movement, or restful stillness. As the system settles and opens, many people notice lightness, clarity, emotional release, and a renewed connection to self. Participants often leave feeling spacious, grounded in their bodies, and more in harmony with their own energy. The class lasts just under an hour and costs $20. Group size is intentionally small, and registration is required. There is also an option to stay afterward for a sound bath for $20.

Sacred Creation

A small-group mindful pottery and sacred creation session that blends breath, embodiment, mindfulness, meditation, and intentional making in the reflective glow following the Summer Solstice. Participation is limited to 10 to preserve an intimate, ceremonial atmosphere. The experience begins with a grounding breath practice and gentle tools to settle the nervous system, cultivate energetic alignment, and build present-moment awareness, helping to quiet daily noise and deepen connection with body and self. A guided meditation with visualization then leads into hands-on clay work, where participants shape altar pieces, incense dishes, or other personally significant objects formed with intention and meaning. Before departing, each person chooses a glaze. Pieces will be finished within three to four weeks and will be available for pickup at Beyond Breathing. The timing aligns with a supportive astrological current as the Moon moves from introspective Scorpio into adventurous Sagittarius, held by Cancer season and the lingering light of the Solstice. Themes include setting clear intentions, devotional creativity, emotional steadiness, soothing the nervous system, embodied art-making, crafting beauty with purpose, and renewed trust in intuition and inner knowing. Open to complete beginners, with a gentle pace, personalized support, and space for deeper presence and connection.

607 Open - Fall Kick Off Tournaments

Kick off the season with a three-part bowling showcase featuring a Sweeper, a Main Event, and a Doubles tournament. The Sweeper spans four games with a $60 entry fee, pays $1,000 for first place based on 80 entries, and awards cash to 1 in 5 competitors. The Main Event carries a $75 entry fee and offers $3,000 to the winner based on a full field of 198 entries. It includes three qualifying squads capped at 66 bowlers each, with five games of qualifying. From every squad, one in six automatically advances to the finals, then after the last qualifying squad additional high scores that have not already advanced are added to reach a one-in-five overall cut. Participants can cash twice, which may reduce the number of finalists. A seniors special is in place, sending the top two seniors who are not otherwise in the cut to the finals. In the finals, all qualifiers bowl four additional games, then the top 16 move into a best-of-five bracket. Seeds 1 through 4 receive two rounds of byes, seeds 5 through 8 receive one round of byes, and seeds 9 through 16 start immediately. Lanes are reoiled after every squad and before the finals. The Doubles event determines winners by total pins over four games, has a $100 team entry, and pays $800 for first based on 32 teams, with no reoil for this competition. Patterns are planned as follows... the Sweeper uses an oil ratio roughly in the 6-to-8-to-1 range, the Main Event targets about 3-to-5-to-1, and the Doubles runs on the burn. A $2-per-game roster is available, and brackets and pots run every squad. To be added to the roster, contact Beckie or Jeff.
