Story time and a book signing with Denise Lawson highlight this live animal program centered on her Black Bear Sled Dog series. She shares a window into life along the Yukon River and her dog sledding experiences in Alaska. The program explains what a musher does, how they work with and care for their dogs, and how sled dog adoption works. Retired Alaskan sled dogs from the series will be on hand to meet. Museum visitors can attend at no cost.
